That's what I've read also. And, at some point he needs micro-surgery, so this is not some small issue.

I really like Glenn, but man, when it's time, it's time...UNLESS you are 100% sure that you can at least hope that you can make it through a season...and if not, sign the settlement and prove that you can. It's simple...if Gleen can play raquetball or whatever, then sign the waiver and show everyone!

He got 5 mil last year for basically nothing, plus held a roster spot!

I have seen the same thing, regardless if he plays this season he still needs to have the microfracture surgery done. Last season he was given the option of the arthroscopic or having the microfracture surgery. By opting for the arthroscopic it allowed him the chance to play towards the end last year but the major problem still exsist and it is not going to get better by itself

Glenn strikes me as an especially proud guy who would have a very difficult time reversing himself and signing the $500,000 waiver.

I'd guess that Glenn won't sign the $500,000 waiver as is.

If further contingencies were offered or the waiver amount were increased, I think he'll sign.

Look! I don't care how proud Glenn is...the guy made 5 mil last year for doing absoutely nothing! Nothing!

If he can't or won't sign a waiver for $500,000 and try and help this team and Jerry, then he can scoot! If he's so confident that he's Ok, sign the damn paper and let's go!

Jerry did him a BIG favor last year...now he wants another one?

I couldn't agree more.. I bet he has a BIG season this year.. Just a hunch!!!

I think T Glenn ends up signing a deal with Jerry and he plays for the Cowboys this season.

Whether he is physically able to finish the season . . . . . that I wouldn't bet on.

After the free ride Jerry gave him last season, Terry needs to sign the damn wavier. If he is healthy, he makes his money and the Cowboys are that much stronger. If not, then a half million dollars is pretty good compensation in my book. I don't think there is a team out there that is gonna sign him to a substantial contract with all this uncertaincy about his knee. Common sense should tell Terry this is his final shot at a ring. He outta to take it:starspin

Thank you, Sir!!!

Jerry Jones paid Terry Glenn the BONUS to keep him. Glenn was underpaid for Years here and outpeformed contracts.

JJ also could not cut the Injured Glenn without an Injury settlement last year.

Cool...so Jerry give him 5 mil last year, for what? If that is not an injury settlement, tell me what that was!

I really like Glenn, but he made out like a freaking bandit last year!

Now he wants to do it again? Sign the damn paper and let's get it on if he's so confident that he won't go down!

Played football until my knees could not handle it any longer I was having my knee drained quite often and dealing with the constant swelling. You put in the work during the week to get ready and then the game. I take nothing away from racquetball but you are not cutting and twisting with people pushing on you not to mention you get into wet turf where you start sliding as you are coming out of your breaks the knees take a beating. It is no wonder that knee injuries in football are very common.

I've played both, too, with a blown ACL and a partial meniscus. Racquetball is much harder on the cartilage. The twisting and turning on a wood floor with little reaction time really grinds the knees.

On the football field, the cleats tend to get stuck in the turf and then the strength of your own body, or the impact with another player is what pops the ligaments. In TG's case, I think the problem was cartilage, though.

I had this same experience and opinion. Racquetball is a beast on your knees...

OK...! Sheesh...raquetball is hard.

Sign the damn paper and let's go? If not, maybe Hostile's prediction might come true? Maybe he get's cut....

It's entirely his own risk to run, and TC hasn't even started yet. Why is everyone so impatient? If TG can get the Cowboys to up the downside compensation a few hundred thousand dollars be negotiating thoroughly, more power to him. The pr damage on sports message boards in the meantime is inconsequential.

Oh, he'll play....I think they do up the offer a little. Jerry wants anyone who can help him get a ring. He will make that deal happen, Unless of course he knows something we all don't. Like maybe Glenn isn't coming along as well as we have heard. I still say he plays with a star on his helmet this year though.

I really don't think him playing Racquetball has anything to do with his exsisting injury. I could be wrong but I somehow doubt he is playing it 5 days a week and in football it is not just the game day it is the work you put in leading up to the game and doing so at a pro level aginst top players, can Glenn play at the high level that he needs to, to be effective?. I would love to have Glenn return but I do think it will be a constant problem though out the season wether he can play from week to week.
