Here is a simple why... and it doesn't matter if Romo or Weeden start.

The coach will be FORCED to focus on RUN and heavily lean on our OL to dominate the game and TOP. That's our formula to be successful....regardless of QB. Sure Romo is a better passer but just look at this team's past history when Romo goes down. We rode Orton for several wins when our stupid coaches don't over call passing play. This OL is far superior than past OL. It can dominate almost any line in the league. It just needs to be given a chance. Our potential weakness here is the D. But I am hoping for a rebound performance and for the D to be playing above average. As long as D does that and we don't turn the ball over.....We WIN.

The idea that all we have to do is run to win and that whenever things go bad it's because we didn't run enough is starting to get really old around here.

Dallas has to play mistake free for four quarters in order to win. I am not sure they can do that, they shoot themselves in the foot over and over.

They also better be studying on how to beat a blitz this week.................because Romo will not be able to escape their front-line(if he plays), or Weeden for that matter.

Yet true.

"Whenever things go bad it's because we didn't run enough...." True.
Coaches choose to have Weeden throw twice to Dez at the 3 yd line when he just broke off 50 yards?
In OT decides to pass 3 straight times after Murray just got 8 yds after 1st down?

Will run fix EVERYTHING...no. But it's for the coaches to remember the basics and why this team was successful in the first place which is based on running the ball. Pass action is better when you can run. Pass protection is easier when LB and S is worried about the run. This D stays off the field because of the run.

Yes...it's boring and old...but it WORKS.

Huh? I'm not aware of Orton ever winning a game as Cowboys QB.

Do you mean preseason?

Our d is gonna get abused by the Cards recievers. I think they have a rookie wr that runs around a 4.3, not good. Weeden will get blitzed left and right. If we miss tackles in this game (like last), we will lose by at least 20.

I think Weeden can get it done for one week. IF.. And, this is a BIG IF.. Dallas would need the few breaks they got along in the past few games. Making plays where all hope seemed lost, etc.

They will need a huge , solid game from the Defense. They are gonna have to play basically mistake free football.

If the game comes down to Weeden.. I see 6-3 coming Dallas's way.

I think Cowboys clean up the mistakes this weekend and start a new win streak. Lot of guys who did not play well last week will be focused and ready to go.

I agree. Won't be relaxing during the all important week long preparation time zone like last week

If a team has the WR's to get deep, and even a mediocre QB that has time to get them the ball. Our defense will have trouble. It was only time before a team exposed this.
Cardinals have this, as the Commanders had their game of the year and did it too.

We better get that pass rush fixed to fix this problem.

I think they work heavily on all out blitz pick ups this week. But will another team take that chance. Washington really had nothing to lose by doing this. Arizona does have 1st place to lose if it doesn't work. I think they stick to what's been working for them. But they don't have that much of a pass rush either.

Yeah because Arizona's been doing that a lot lately and we've been losing by that much lately. Cmon. Arizona has really overachieved this IMO. I think they have a good solid team but they are definitely not good enough to blow out a good team(which we are) by 20. Their biggest win this year was by 11 at Oakland, the worst team in the league. I also think you are giving their receivers too much credit. The Brown guy you are talking about had done nothing until that 75 yard TD against the Eagles last week. Floyd has been somewhat disappointing for them this year and Fitzgerald much like Brown hadn't really done much until that 80 yard TD against the Eagles. Their running game is not very good either. Ellington averages about 3.5 yards per carry and no other back on their team has more than 18 carries. What I'm trying to say is Arizona is not that good to run away and blowout a team. We'll at the very least be in the game and I think we'll win.

But with our pass rush he will elude it like a world class sprinter.

Maybe he is not as fleet of foot as he once was. If we can get them in 3rd and long I have faith the addition of Lawrence will help since there is no game film on him yet.
