Florence was bad as a starter in Jacksonville, but their defense as a whole under achieved. With Wade in San Diego, he was a solid CB. While he was a regular starter (until Antoino Cromartie passed him) he has double digit pass break-ups. If he comes here, he'll be asked to do the same things he did as a charger, but will be a depth/special teams player. No rookie we'll have a shot at will probably out perform him.

Agreed, we want Springs, heck even Skins fans are saying it would be a good signing for us. The guy is a solid player when healthy and with our depth at the position if he was on the team it could be a great move.

What about McAllister? I know he has injury concerns, but so does Springs. If we are bringing in someone for the 4th, then he should be a good fit as long as he doesn't want too much money. He will only be in on passing downs anyway so he may only see 15 to 20 plays a game.

Hopefully Springs' father will encourage Shawn to sign with the Cowboys, but if not, McAllister should be an option.
