Sunderland pulling off the impossible!
Barely surviving relegation is the impossible?
FFP is dumb, it's just like a way to keep the top historic teams with huge income up, so what if a rich dude wants to spend a lot of his own money making a team better? That's his prerogative
To an extent. City abuse the system, and throw an excess amount of money at everything. Something needs to be done about teams like that, because they ruin the game. Over the last five seasons, City has spent £200 mil more than any other team in the league. It's stupid, and ruins the integrity of the game.
It also protects the teams. We had a guy bankrolled a small town team here in Scotland. Took them from the lowest league in the country to the top flight and a cup final qualifying for Europe. He then died of cancer and the team went bankrupt and now don't exist.
But how is that worse than real? They throw more money around, but are allowed to because they are a global brand that has huge income, is that more fair?
Well, I can see that reasoning with smaller teams, not teams competing in major European tournaments
Luckily I forgot about the game today. Oh well, great season for Liverpool. They'll only get better from here.
World Cup is a month away.
