Gerrard, Coutinho, Sterling... Liverpools attack is the last thing they need to worry about; no team in the Premier League compares to them up front. Suarez is obviously the superstar but they could score without him.

They have truly been a joy to watch in Rodgers second season. Beautiful attacking football.

Not a fan of Liverpool (or any other English team), but it's good to see them back in the title race.

It is probably because LeBron James is a minority owner.

They are a fun team to watch. I'll say it again, this is going to be a good end to the season watching these teams battle it out.

If you take away Suarez's 29 goals Liverpool would still be ranked 3rd in the EPL with 59 goals scored. Offense is not their weakness. They do have some problems on the back end, but they aren't bad defensively. There are still enough games for Suarez to get in trouble, but he really is playing differently this season than in past years. Perhaps he finally gets it. I'd like to see him string together a few seasons with no controversies.

They are not scoring when he doesn't play.
They score plenty when he is on the pitch be it him or someone else.

Suarez has an incredible 29 goals but also another 11 assists. --half of those to Sturridge who is not good up top alone.

After those 2 you drop precipitously. Lampard has 11 goals but many are from Penalties which are very much influenced by Suarez.

Anyone suggesting they have a good attack without Suarez hasn't actually watched them play.

They list him with 20 assists....
Also as you can see in the 5 game suspension LP went 3-1-1 but only scored 5 goals.
In the next 5 when he had returned they scored 12.

I watch them play every week; players like Sterling and Sturridge have improved a ton since that early in the season.

I still think we'll win the title. So long as agüero is back for that game vs Liverpool, I think we can at least get a draw, and we are third but we have 2 games in hand. If we take care of business vs everyone else we are in good shape!

Their improvement just happened to coincide with playing aside Suraez lol.
I am not saying anything the Sunderland manager didn't when he suggested LP was amid-table team minus Suarez.

Sterling started the season out as a substitute, which included that 5 game stint. Sturridge scored in 4 out of 5 games during his suspension. Lets also not forget that it was the first 5 games of the season.

Any top team would see a substantial drop if they were minus their top player. Chelsea wouldn't be the same without Hazard. Everyone has seen the difference Aguero makes when he isn't playing for Man City. Liverpool is a good team and clearly Suarez is their best player.

There is a certain irony that Chelsea are struggling to find a striker that scores goals, yet have sold & loaned out two of the best young strikers in the PL this season in Sturridge (20) & Lukaku (13)

Of the contenders I felt Aresnal would be the mostly likely to stumble at the end and they have.

No irony at all. Lukaku has improved tremendously over two year-long loans.
It benefit the club to get him minutes elsewhere.

Now with FFP they'll very likely simply bring him back and plug him into 1st team striker duties. He's likely the top overall single striker prospect in the world.
But he is still a baby. A really big, gifted baby.

The fact Chelsea can loan out phenomenal players and still lead the table is what makes the haters all so jealous.

Sturridge, they simply sold off. He was simply not good enough to be the top striker at Chelsea and whined in any other role. It's been great for him to play with Suarez and fit in around a world class striker.
His development has been grand and is a real boon for England who need him to do anything at the WC.

yawn... i hate when people argue just to argue.
it really is pointless.

Liverpool in first 5 games without Suarez scored 5 goals, next 5 games with him scored 12.
Nothing else needs to be stated.

FFP may have prevented Chelsea from chasing a top striker last season, but it won't stop them this summer. They will bring in someone.

What's your point? Of course they are better with their best player, but they are still capable of scoring plenty of goals without him.

Liverpool was winning without Suarez, but it was Italian style 1-0 type games. Their attack didn't take off until Suarez came back. I hear kun will play this weekend, here's hoping he can stay healthy the rest of the season and into the World Cup!

As for the champions league tonight, I think Madrid will unfortunately take care of BVB. Chelsea will make it interesting in the other game, specially if ibra is out
