Romo has a new challenge.

Prescott looks like he very well could be the future of the team here. I'm thrilled that Dallas may have knocked this draft out of the park.

However........

Prepare for idiocy. We are cursed with one of the dumbest fanbases in the universe, AND THE MEDIA IS ALREADY DOING EVERYTHING IT CAN TO DRUM UP A QUARTERBACK CONTROVERSY. They want unrest in Dallas. NFL Network is slobbering over Dak every 10 minutes.

Romo has to shut it out and play. Every time he throws an interception, shoot, every time he throws an incomplete, the calls for Prescott will rain down on him.

Again, we suffer from the most toothless and tattooed imbeciles of any fans not located in Philadelphia. I'd estimate it at 40 percent of us. Those that hate the Cowboys (including they media) will egg it on.

Romo has to shut it out. The whole organization does. Dak is not ready yet. Let that happen naturally.

If Romo can come out hot right away, that could quell the madness, but of he doesn't, he's got to put the earmuffs on. Or else.

It's a WONDERFUL problem to have, but it's an issue if they allow our to be.

Romo has pretty thick skin. But there's not a QB on the planet that enjoys his own fans pulling against him...none.

At least he really likes Dak and seems to take pride in helping develop him.

If Romo got hurt, Dak would come in and probably throw five interceptions. You see it all the time.

The real deal will be very different. Dak needs to develop and learn like Rodgers and Romo did.

You hit it on the nose. I'm as excited about Dak's future as anyone but those fans are bound to come out and they are the worst. Those are the same fans that think they know literally everything about the sport. I try to avoid them as much as possible. Solid warning. ;)

When Captain America speaks, people listen. I was team America from the beginning. Never doubt the man.

Honestly, and it surprises me to say this because I know the full depth of the Romo haters here, but I don't think we'll see that. First of all, there's no indication that Romo is going to be anything other than great, and he would have had a basically perfect night himself if not for sailing one. The entire first half basically looked like the poster for "anyone can throw/run behind this line" with the numbers the QBs and RBs put up.
2nd, at the end of the day Dak still is just an extremely green 4th round pick and I really can't see a situation where anyone would think he could come in and handle it better than Tony... assuming health of course.

I do like the projection, because it's absolutely something we have seen here, though not for some time. And yes, that segment calling for the clipboard-carrying rookie will be out there, waiting to pounce.

Personally, I wouldn't take these folks too seriously - not this season anyway. In fact, I cannot see anyone inside the organization giving this a second thought until 2017, at the earliest.

It's just about laughable, but you are correct. We will hear it.

Stop looking at the negative. This is good. FINALLY Romo has someone pushing him. The closest he's ever been pushed was Kitna, and that was only b/c Kitna knew how to click with his teammates.
Romo doesn't need anyone to "push" him.

You think he is not motivated? C'mon, that's ridiculous.

And it begins.

To heck with the Romo/Dak debate, this is Romo's team until he calls it quits or gets injured. The real story here.........Zeke vs Morris. I would not be surprised at all if Alfred is week 1 starter. He has got the reps and Zeke has yet to see the field. They may just work him in slowly.

Nobody in any appreciable numbers is drumming up controversy.

You don't just get to make up both sides of an argument.
