I wager (like what I did there) it's because bettors are reading into all of the statement and posts by the team... player, owner coaches, sports media, and I would assume they come to the conclusion, that he either sits or ge plays and potentially will be affected by the injury.
Bingo

I would assume since he’s listed as questionable and gameday decision along with fact he didn’t take snaps all week and to boot he was at his grandmothers funeral Friday that was enough.

Maybe there was some visual evidence Friday at the funeral we haven’t heard about yet.

So I went to the site and read it...as stated above the use of may and potentially is far from absolute...and then the phrase potentially up to one week is very ambiguous...not to mention it talks about treatment for generic ypes of soft tissue injuries..not specifically to the type and degree of injury. This is also for the average person so not really an apples to apples discussion. Finally we don't know if there are other treatments that can be done in conjunction with this that may address any potential inflammation. As has been stated before, this doctor is only speculating without any actual knowledge of the specifics of Daks injury or treatment....that alone causes me to take it with a grain of salt.
Cowboys doctors should have done this procedure LAST WEEK in order to give Dak plenty of time to recover and be ready to go tomorrow night. What is so hard to understand about that??? Why wait until this week to do something the team doctors should have done LAST WEEK???

This delay of a week is indefensible.

I’m sure Dak was on anti-inflammatory meds soon after the injury. I have clinics that do this procedure and there are guidelines to follow. For example, the patient needs to be off those anti-inflammatories for at least five days, along with other protocols. Getting the injection over a week later is not negligence nor poor planning on the doctors part.

They probably thought some meds, heat/ice and rest would do the trick but realized it was a bit worse than initially thought. In comes the next option(PRP) yet he needs to be off the other meds first.

Again, it all depends on what treatment they choose to do the prior week...I am sure they gave him anti inflammatory medication immediately when it started to swell...they may have wanted to get some of the swelling down to determine the right treatment... you're article even says they like you to be off of anti-inflammatory medication for 5 days before doing PRP...so who knows if it was the right time or not. like I said, other than the doctors who are ACTUALLY treating him everyone else can only speculate.

If Dak was on anti-inflammatory medications during the bye week, yes, team doctors would have had to wait several days before trying PRP on Dak. This makes sense if indeed it happened this way, thus causing such a delayed treatment.

Wow. In other words, the Cowboys team doctors messed up by giving Dak a dose of the PRP this week without realizing it will inflame/swell up the injured calf and not allow Dak to heal enough to play without resting for at least a week? As this specialist said, the Cowboys team doctors should have given Dak a PRP and bone marrow injection last week during the bye week, this way Dak would have healed better and been ready to play tomorrow night.

What are the Cowboys team doctors doing? They only prolonged Dak's availability to heal enough to play, thus hurting the Cowboys. They should have been in touch with this doctor specialist and allowed him to treat Dak immediately after he injured his calf 2 weeks ago. Big dummies!

If I were Jerry Jones, I would be pissed right now after watching this video.
I heard from @coult44 this is the best medical staff :lmao:

Absolutely. Assuming this doctor is correct it sounds like a huge mistep in his recovery.

I will say I discovered this guy last year for fantasy football purposes and he's usually right on with his analysis. He predicted Austin Ekelers return last year by the exact week after he injured his hamstring. He's also been right about Chris Carson's injury with the herniated disk.
It really depends on Daks belief system and the doctors. The XO-Some treatment seems highly experimental with few specialists.

Cowboys doctors should have given the PRP injection treatment to Dak the next day after Dak injured his calf and had a MRI taken to confirm the calf strain after the Patriots game 2 weeks ago. Had they done so back then, Dak might be able to play today.

Thanks for this post. It’s almost like some of the folks speculating aren’t doctors lol
