Prescott had a very shaky 4th QTR

Goal post movement.

We are talking about that pass to Schoon. You pretending that was a routine catch to make is straight buffoonery
Actually, I've been talking about a lot of this stuff in this thread. And debating one catch or one play is silly when the defense let the other team stuff the ball down your throat for 13 plays and 6.5 minutes to literally kill the game. That's the real point.

Also, I said it's a catch that good players make. I'll grant you that Schoon isn't a good player so it's not a slam dunk. But it was in his hands, in the end zone.

Sounds like you are mad at Jerry for being terrible at contract negotiations and I don't blame you but that doesn't change what happened yesterday.

1 team literally just had to execute a NFL handoff all game to win.

The Panthers leading receiver was their RB....
Youre not wrong but neither am I. Im mad that so many resources are tied up in Dak and they shouldn't be. Hell we could have had Jaxson Dart on a rookie contract and tons of cap room to use on defense instead of this mess we have now.

Dak by himself isnt to blame this defense is putrid but Dak with a ridiculous contract is to blame.

Continue to ignore the last 6 minutes of the game. It is ridiculous and false to act like Dallas had the ball at the end of the game.
Continue to ignore the last time Dak had the ball at the 50 yard line and could’ve taken his team down to score a TD but instead went backwards for -12 yards and a 3 and out.

All for only $60 million per year.

Lot of comments on here defending the offense but using same criteria to bash the defense.
Did the defebse give that amazing offense on the 12 yard line? That's 7 of your 27 amazing offensive points, doesn't show up in stat line, but should.
Did that defense produce in crunch time? 50% they gave offense a shot and offense went -12 yards, with all the resources.
Are we asking offense to score every possession? No bc they didn't, they didnt come close to this they settled for field goals instead of TDs.

Dallas scored on 5 of 8 possessions - 62.5% (not counting kneel down).
Carolina scored on 6 of 9 possessions - 66.7%
2025 league average - 40.3%

Both teams were well above league average for scoring % per possession. Unfortunately both were 5 of 8 going into their last possession and only 1 team scored.

You sound foolish harping on 60 million and blaming the loss on Dak. It was all Daks fault. Who called the plays?? One 3 and out with plentvof time left. And that is all a hater will focus on. Not the defense giving up a 6 minute drive. No cant do that. That would crater the Dak's fault narrative. And of course the Dak hater parade love your ridiculous post.

You’re seeing the forest through the trees. Dak has had good to great protection and wide open receivers. Half the QBs in the league could have this team in the same position for 1/5 the cost.

Like Cooper Rush. Name them.

Cooper rush played just as good as Dak last year, and yes with the protection Dak is receiving this year and wide open receivers would have the Cowboys at a 2-3-1 record, it’s my exact point.

LOL. How is Rush doing with the Ravens?? Stop with the Rush nonsense. You lost all credibility.

Stop inventing strawmen.

Rush is a bad QB.. that is the entire point. Even a bad QB can win with this roster. Been saying that for most of the 10 years Dak has been here. We have had some really really great rosters.. and Dak has been a BIG part in why we wasted them.

It has all been said multiple times. Dak wasn't the reason we lost.. but he had a big opportunity to win the game and he fluffed his lines. Wasn't the first time and won't be the last time.

The truly great players FIND a way to win.. so do we really think Mahomes goes -12 from the midfield with a chance to take the lead? What about Brady? Aikman? Rodgers even?

My take is simple.. a truly great QB wins that game against the Panthers. Even with the shaky D, the poor play calling, the WR1 out... a truly great QB takes the ball on the 40 yard line, moves it into FG range, finds a way to bleed a lot of the clock and UNDERSTANDS that his D is crap and therefore the game is on his shoulders.

A previous poster summed up WHY we had to dump in 3 times for 12 yard loss.. the D knew we had no run game and, like they have for 10 years, when the crunch time comes.. they play into cover and beg Dak to 'beat' them. This is why we always feel 'so close'.. NFL defences are smart and they know every weakness a QB has. They don't reveal their hand until it is game on the line stuff.. and Dak folds like a cheap suit time and time again. The oppo D will never show you its key stop plays early in the game.. lest you scheme a way around them.. that is all part of what make this game great. The brinksmanship of tactics.. waiting to the last moment to really dig in.

Our D has got close in two games.. in two games they had a chance to hold a 4th down play and 'win' the game (or keep us in it) and twice they couldn't hold at that crucial moment. There is no doubt the defence is terrible. However.. in this game, the offence had a chance and blew it. At some point we have to stop with the Dak excuses.. take the medicine, move on and build a championship caliber roster. Won't happen until the Jones family is out.
