Sadly, they have the 32nd ranked defense dragging them down.

Take a look at NE. They lose Brady and Bellicheat. Kraft hires a new EVP defacto GM, Eliot Wolf in 2024, and gives him full operational control.

Now they are 4-2 leading the division. They beat Buffalo and spanked Carolina.

Looks like they quickly built back their team in the right direction.

Mayfield lost his top 3 receivers, RB1, and a couple o-line....still found a way to will the team to a win. That 3rd and 14 scramble...holy moly!

But Dak fans cry if we lose our WR1.

It wasnt all daks fault on the last series where they went backwards.
The play calls were bad for that situation , and the OL did not block well, shotty did not try to run,
and carolina was playing great defense at that point.

Thats where a team has to do the unexpected, run 1 deep route, but throw short to pickens, run your best run play , just get few 1st downs.
What they did was so bad they went backwards.

To post on this board, saying dak isnt good enough ,is really stupid ,because we dont have anyone else but milton. They cant get rid of dak till 2027, it isnt financially doable, and jerry might decide to roll with dak till he is 40! So to keep whining about dak is kinda stupid.

I didnt think of it during the game and niether did any of you , but he could have put milton in with the intention,of him running the ball from the pocket, just drop back and then take off, or a qb draw, get in FG range and put dak back in and try for a td.
When you lack talent be innovative and surprise the other team.

I give credit to Carolina for giving dowdle 30 carries, and we gave our rb only 13.
I think carolina out coached dallas big time in that game.

It's sad whenever a offense can only punt twice put up 24 points get the lead back three times and then be signaled out for being shaky in the fourth quarter when the defense was bad all game....

News flash the offense is not always going to be perfect you got the job done by putting up 24 points and yes the last two drives were questionable play calling but our offensive line was getting beat up all day and then being able to put up 24 points was a miracle on the road where your offensive line was getting kicked in the teeth all day we lost in the trenches once again and yet we put up 24 points would the defense do just spit the bit as usual...

We got post about Prescott was shaky in the 4th Jaden Blue after 15 snaps in the NFL he's not getting it done so we need to replace him there's all this talk about the offense should have never even been started we lost because of bad defense that is it let's talk about something else...

There's a game Sunday against Washington in case anyone missed it let's move on talk about Washington..

Got to take 7 of those away so we are arguing fair points. The same lousy defense also gave that Amazing offense of yours the ball on the 12 yard line, without them your offense doesn't get those 7 points.

Pretty easy for Carolina to keep running the ball when they were gaining 6 or 7 yards a pop on 1st down. They had zero reason to do anything different.

Carolina out played us physically. The few physical players we do have, we don't even is them correctly.

On this we can completely agree. The Cowboys got pushed around on both sides of the ball. I am willing to cut the o-line some slack because the left side (Guyton and Smith) was coming back from injury but the defensive line gets no grace. They allowed Rico to get to 7-8 yards untouched with startling regularity. It was embarrassing to watch.

The LB's are big factor/ in this scenario. They don't get a free pass.

It is not hard to argue our top 2 defensive players in the front 7 is Osa and Clark. They are definitely paid that way. Double both of them and force the LB's to make a play. I don't think they can do it.

Let's say the offense goes down and scores a TD in that game. They weren't running the ball worth a damn so it would have all had to be done passing. So eating up very little clock. So they take a touchdown lead with say 3 minutes remaining. What confidence would you have had that the defense would make it hold up? Would it not have been more likely that the defense lets the Panthers waltz down the field and score a TD then win it on the two point conversion by running Rico right down main street? Again, it's asking the offense to be perfect. And I aint doin that. And Dak just won a road game missing 4/5 of his line and 2 of his top receivers. And he just put up 27 points on the road missing 2 starters on the line and those two same receivers. But since it wasn't 37 we gotta get on them? I mean don't look now but the Panthers may not suck as bad as we previously thought. They've won 3 out of their last 4 and their defense is certainly better than ours.. but then everybody's defense is better than ours. If the offense don't put up 35 we have no chance. It's gonna be a long season..

Had ot give you a like. Our LBers are scared. The two monday night games....those tacklers were BRUTAL!

I watched our LBers play 5 yards off a runner heading to the sidelines.

It's real easy to not say ship about Dak...when our LBers are doing that.

The youngsters were lost out there. James and Liafau are run and hit guys but they are not running and hitting until the runner is at the second level. They need to be better on the run fits. And I honestly can't tell you what Murray is doing half the time. He's the Mike linebacker and should ALWAYS lead the team in tackles.. and I don't think he has done so once this year..

Not playing "what if".

I'm telling my offense don't worry about what ifs. We are #1 in the league we're gonna stomp your guts out. If it takes another time...fine. If we don;t get that fine too.

Yes...we have a very bad defense. I have said it over and over. Not just scheme but fundamentals.

It doesn't mean I'm not going to assess the offense hard.

He couldn’t run . The call was a screen which was stupid as Pickens had been dealing all day and then once they got behind the chains it just steamrolled

Why were they in that position to begin with? Because the defense couldn’t stop anything be it run or pass

I agree baker has been playing at a mvp level that’s part of why they are 5-1 or 4-2 can’t remember but he’s been good. I’d say no one has been better

You know sometimes the defense wins and I’m not gonna bring up how many times the previous QB had the same thing happen to him after playing well only to be let down by the D

Jerry again failed to address both side of the ball and it’s gonna be an interesting year. The offense is good enough atm to carry this team if the defense was just poor to average
