I think Dak could be much more successful in a better coached system he is not able to overcome our bad coaching and its snowballing on him as he tries

Game Management(not making mistakes) was suppose to be Dak’s primary value. Does he provide anything beneficial?

It's possible. But at what point do you move on from developing a player, in that it takes too much time. I mean, I'm starting to feel that Rico is a failed experiment, and I am starting to think Rico when I think about Dak and seeing him as a failed experiment. I think Rico can eventually get better too, but is the effort worthwhile is what I am saying.

I’ll tell you how we fix this, it’s really pretty simple, bench his keister and let someone else lead the league.

The mediocre YPA and low passing yards can be forgiven for a QB who maintains a high TD-Int ratio and doesn’t turn the ball over a lot.

This is just plain bad.

The stat guys will tell you, the only way to win when you pass for under 200 yds each week is to NOT turn it over. That's why we had more success in 2016 the passing efficiency was much better. The guy has turned into a turnover machine

The fumble was on him.

He held the ball too long, again, missing open WRs and even if he takes the sack, it wasn't a jarring hit, he just got the ball stripped because of bad ball security.
amazing how our receivers are always "open" yet have the lowest separation in the NFL

Bingo.

A QB doesn’t need to throw the ball over the yard.

They need to make the plays when they are there and not turn the ball over.

Dak did that in 2016. He isn’t doing either right now.

Jerry is saying the right things right now but after we get eliminated he better change his tune on the future.

dang we're running out of excuses. "l like and support Dak, but he sucks". Maybe we can get Tebow and get him some good coaches and he'll be fine too.

They gave the job to someone else, genius.

Are you being intentionally obtuse? Holy crap, it's actually frustrating how dumb some of you are behaving.

So are there no backup QBs in football? Talk about stupid? And wasnt it Romo that went public saying Dak earned it? Try again troll.

Lol stop being purposely obtuse, Romo asked if he could compete for the starting job back in training camp and linehan told him absolutely not. Romo is not a back up QB. He was a bonifide elite level quarterback. The blatant disrespect from the cowboys to not even give him a chance shows the level of their character .

Dak'sgame stats: 21 for 31, 243 passing yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 5 sacks, 99.3 passer rating.

Yeah, Dak looked really bad.

:muttley:

6 for 11 for 61 yards on the garbage drive to end the game, yet yielded no points.

First 55 minutes: 15 for 20, 182 yards, a terrible red zone interception, and 14 points.

QBR of 24.2 for the game, on a scale of 0 to 100. Yes Jerry, he looked bad.

Keep him until his rookie contract is up and not matter what you do, do not pay him like a franchise qb or you will be doomed for all eternity.

It would be analogous to franchising Chaz Green

I’d have to research a little more on all the options
I have so much hope for the kid, it's like he till a step backwards. The problems seems like 40% Dak and 60% coaching!
They are not putting him in a position to succeed and now he's playing like he's scared or someting. His pocket presence has sucked big time, he's playing like he doesn't trust his O-line and that's affecting his game

Yes, the yogurt commercials are pretty lit

Seriously though, many of us are not surprised at what he has become. The horrible mechanics, indecisiveness, inaccuracy, inability to read defenses, etc, etc. we saw it from the beginning

But make no mistake, us critics take no joy in this because this could have been a settled position at Qb when we have othe pressing needs. Now we have to use resources to find someone else

The experiment is over. He stinks
