Prescott Makes Prisco's "Overrated" list

You do have to admit that Dak-A-Mania has been running wild this offseason.

I don't know if "overrated" is a relative term, but the hype is pretty remarkable.

I agree. He never said he sucked. I happen to agree with him some what. There was one person here who said he is better than Tom Brady right now. So come on. I know it's not everyone but let's just see how he does. For the life I just do not get why people are obsssesd with worrying who is better than who and where someone ranks. Dak in my opinion has a ton of pressure on him this year. I believe he has a great make up mentally and im sure he will handle it well, but let's see how it plays out. Even if he takes a step back this year I think down the road we will be in great shape.

Just realized is just on a per team basis.
He says ON THE COWBOYS ROSTER (some compared to others on the same roster) he considers the most underrrated to be Anthony Brown and the most overrated to Dak

This just goes to show that even stupid people can hold a job. How do you overrate a 4th round pick that battle from 3rd QB to pro bowl QB?

To be fair he didn't he didn't have to battle anyone . He was the only one left one Moore got hurt. ( However there is no doubt in my mind he would have played during the season ) but he prob would not have started game 1 if Moore got hurt. Im not knocking your post at all. I was just responding to the battle comment.

I'm just surprised that no one was able to create a "book" on him for the many months he played last season.

Trouble is that "the book" still lists "best line in football", "top 10 receiver", "great slot guy(s)", "Hall of Fame TE", and "league's leading rusher".

But after that? Sure, easy-peasey.

And we all know our offense won't adjust to the defenses who are adjusting to Dak's game. Yup, our offensive coordinator and our coach are just gonna sit back and do nothing and let the defense determine Dak's success.

One thing I should point out is these are media's standard tactics and operating procedures. You build up the unsung hero, the cinderella story, then once they get up close to the top, you start bashing them back down. Once they drop far enough, you start bringing them back up again with stories of the great return.

That's why I and more and more people just ignore the media these days. It's all a game or an agenda. It's all hyperbole and drama. The idea of defining whose stock is going up or down during the off-season is mind-bogglingly ridiculous and completely subjective depending on the motivation behind it.

I would argue he is very underrated. I keep hearing how he was a product of Zeke, yet when Baltimore stuffed the run and dared Dak to beat them, he went 22-23 in the last 3 qtrs and shredded them. What he did to a 4-12 team was incredible. Love Zeke but teams win because of their QB not their RB, as we saw in 2015.

Underrated???

Exactly.

But the press nay sayers better get ready to eat CROW when Dak has another good year.

I'm guessing in terms of people saying Dak's success was a product of our offense and playing with Zeke.

Im guessing in terms how on earth can you say is underrated. Almost everyone has sang his praises. As a rookie QB he walked into a very very good offense team. Sure that does help. You can't say it doesent. But that's not his fault. He handled it brilliantly, but you can't completely ignore either. This is not a knock on Dak at all. I only questioned you saying he was underrated. That's all it was about.

And Dak never played behind center before he played for the Cowboys. He was in a shotgun offense in college. Walking into a very good offense and playing the way he did with practically no experience behind center is amazing.

So if Dak kills it this year then will there be new excuses next year why he is overrated? Think we all know the answer...

Whatever. The sports media rarely reports anything straight and as a consequence every player in the spotlight is overrated,,, at least until they decide the don't like him anymore, then he's the reason his team is losing.

Likewise, when this team is 3-4 and Dak has 10 TDs and 12 INTs, watch everybody bail on him.

He's a young QB who is developing. He'll be fine in time.
