Lol, that's ridiculous. The team is designed to beat bad teams during the regular season, not win big games in the playoffs.

Winning 12 games a year isn't mediocre. What is dumb is complaining now before the playoffs.Of course the no-vision cultists will be overwhelmed with joy if their fraudulent idol undeservedly becomes the highest paid QB ever, it's clearly the only thing that matters to them. As a Cowboys fan, I'd rather aim higher than perpetual mediocrity, meaningless regular season stats against bad teams and early playoffs exits. Too bad our ''GM'' is as dumb as the delusional Dak fanboys.
That is not necessarily in accurate. First your team needs to be built to win your division. We are clearly build that way and have a chance each year. However, we are not currently built to beat the Niners on a consistent basis. We would need to play almost perfect to beat them with our current roster. The team is designed to beat bad teams during the regular season, not win big games in the playoffs.
Can they afford Dak, Lamb, Parsons, Diggs and Martin? I think they can but we’re going to lose a lot of role players like DLaw and several of the other rotation players on the defensive line. Also we won’t have any money to sign LBers so either we hit big in the draft or keep using DBs as LBers. It will be Dak, Lamb,Parsons, diggs, everyone else gets low balled to fill out the team
I would consider us as good as the Vikings. A fringe playoff team that collapses in the playoffs or against playoff teams. Now if they change the history with this season I’ll eat crow but Dak has to prove he can do it in the playoffs or against playoff teams before I want to commit 60 million APY to him.Winning 12 games a year isn't mediocre. Who says they can't win with the depth they have now? They certainly can win now. The NFC is wide open. Can they afford Dak, Lamb, Parsons, Diggs and Martin? Paying this much for a player means we have to have lights out drafts, especially on defense and offensive line and LBer. Considering our last two high draft picks were Mazi and Schoonmaker, I’m very concerned.
We’ll have great playmakers that put up highlights but not a complete team to take on playoff teams. Kind of like how we are now but worse. Unless McKay drafts great in every round and every round produces a solid starter.
I’m not too optimistic here when we can’t win with the depth we have now and that depth will get worse as these signings happen. I hope the fans like our guys as much as the Jones’ because that’s all we’ll have.
Yes, a good team that will need to be almost perfect in the draft. We will have too much money allocated to our top 5 players and the rest of the roster will suffer.I would consider us as good as the Vikings. Thanks but I was referring to the fact we are apparently going to tie our fortunes yet again to someone who can't engineer a playoff runPhilly is already paying big for a QB. He was the highest paid NFL player for six days. That will happen for Prescott, too.
There are maybe 3-4 guys in the NFL who "engineer" playoff runs. Everyone else is just along for the ride. You can also win having guys along for the ride but you need one of the top 12-14 guys in the NFL to be able to do that. The fact that there are so few is why they are so expensive. Thanks but I was referring to the fact we are apparently going to tie our fortunes yet again to someone who can't engineer a playoff run
Actually that's been the truth so far. No one can foresee the future but if the past is any indication of what will happen then it won't be pretty in January.Lol, that's ridiculous.
I'll settle for a decent showing in a NFC title game, even if we lose and IF Dak isn't a major factor in the loss.Actually that's been the truth so far. No one can foresee the future but if the past is any indication of what will happen then it won't be pretty in January.
Now, the problem with that is guys like you still calling it great after all these awesome showings against contenders. And I just don't understand how many more early play off ejections are necessary for you to see the truth.
Dak has to win that SB for us or at least get to it in order to deserve that contract. But hey, miracles do happen, right?
Our cowboys can win but things would need to fall into place for them but you’re right the nfc is wide openWho says they can't win with the depth they have now? They certainly can win now. The NFC is wide open.
Ya rightWell I never intended to start such a commotion with this thread.
It doesn’t save Dallas any money to trade Dak after the 2023 season..... Exactly, that's why I made some of those points. He already made enough money to last two liftemes and some.
And I doubt that that would ever want to be traded since Dallas has taken him well.
