You just don’t get it do you. Dak has been surrounded with superstar players at RB, Receiver and one of the best Oline in football. Put Dak in Cincy and it would have got ugly. Dak needs help from great players around him, With an average team around him he is done he can’t make many throws. Glad your not in charge because you would give the guy 45M a year.

I think Blake Bortles would get love, if he came to the "Boys right now.

I want there to be an open competition in camp with the better QB getting (Cowboys won't let that happen but it's what i want) the Job and while i don't think that would be Dak i would recognize that he is the starter if he were to beat out Dalton

Dak has shown flashes and played some good games for the cowboys . Therefore., many are tempted to say Dak would be a better option over dalton.
However, I would love to see what dalton can do with this offense , behind the top OL , WR, and RB. Dak had his chances , and I can’t say I recall a game where he carried the team or engineered a comeback . Dak went 1-6 last year against playoff teams , and was not much of a factor in losses to the jets and bears .

for 30 million less , dalton would get my nod . This team needs all the cap money to fix the defense .

In 9 seasons he had double digit interception 7 times. That's mostly on him, even when he had good teams he had a lot of ints, no thanks....

Dalton spent his career under a coach similar to JG, and he never had a good run game or good defense.
I think Dalton might be a lot better with our offense and with MM running the show.
Also he will be more inspired to play here for cowboys than with the bengals.

About competition for the job, that will be hard with the jones boys running things.
If dak signs contract dalton will never play unless dak gets hurt.
if dak plays on franchise tag he will still start if he goes to TC.
If he doesnt go to TC or threatens to not play then dalton might get the start at beginning of season.

The jones boys have anointed dak as a great qb, and are eager to pay him 35 mil a year :omg: lol.
Dak is not thinking about winning SB's , he is at home with a calculator adding up how many millions he can make in the next 8 years.
He talks about wanting to be the best cowboys qb ever, or even the best in nfl ever ! but what I see is a guy thinking more about
maximizing the amount of money he can make, not being the best or winning SB's.
I think it has all gone to his head.

I would rather have a cheaper qb as a bus driver, and build a great defense. It worked for denver, even though they had overpaid for manning,
who wound up a bus driver.

Well without Irvin ( gone for the year in game 4, he still had Emmitt) we got to the playoffs in 1999, so lets take Cooper away from Dak (let him keep Zeke) and see if he can get us into the playoffs, oh wait he couldn't do it with both last year!!

You only asked about Aikman in comparision to Dak? So thats what i did, Aikman lost his number 1 for the season and still got us into the playoffs, but since yoou asked Wentz lost his #1,2 and 3 WR recievers and got his team into the playoffs, there are more too

No. Actually Daks numbers would flip if he was a Bengal.
    I have no doubts.
Why are you bringing up money? That has zero to do with this thread.
Of course he will make 10 times more? Whos saying different?

You really think Dalton is better than Dak?

I'm sure he'd surprise some, just not in the way that you think.

I'm having a hard time buying Dak at $35M/year, but the folks who think there's no difference between the two haven't paid much attention to AD since he left TCU.
