Missy, the man is loyal...and not cowardly first. Stick to tariffs and make believe honor.
I still like Jerry, he walked the road to get there. Where exactly would Jimmy Johnson without Jerry?
He had to borrow from the Teamsters to get the original team together. Now. Exactly where would Jimmy be?
It's a known fact they needed each other and you're right Jimmy Johnson could have been the next or the first Nick Saban you remember Myers was the big deal everyone's got to bring over Myers he was a total failure bobby Petrino chip Kelly in his wonderful New Age College ball going to be brought over to the NFL we've seen Bobby Petrino was successful and then him failed there's been a lot of bigger names that have tried to make the leap and fail so anybody thinking by any stretch Jimmy was destined to make it to the NFL and be successful without Jerry's help nobody will ever know but I'd say history is on Jerry's side to say he gave Jimmy his shot they worked together they're equally responsible both for the success and both for the breakup and we should just leave it there...
And if Jimmy Johnson was such a great general manager type you know the whisper of draft picks and free agents why didn't they become a GM why didn't he leave Miami and get elevated he's no more that than Bill Parcells both of them ended up losing interest in the grind they needed new challenges they moved around a lot he was not staying here on a run like Tom Landry or Bill Belichick they were not built that way...
So I'm curious Parcells and Johnson neither one of them got full time GM jobs where GM title alone where you would think that's where their strengths were when they got older and didn't want to coach anymore that their value would have been seen as just that but it didn't happen it tells me that most of these people hating on Jerry acting like Jimmy did this all by himself or Jimmy bought the team and made Jerry the owner it's insane the way people look at things...
It was a perfect storm people's memories are flawed or their hates in the wrong spot when they balked the team and all the moves made the Hertzel Walker trade everything that happened it was some of it was luck it was the timing was perfect it was a great marriage with Jerry and Jimmy they were best friends in college they were teammates this worked really well for a short time and we should appreciate it not blame 1 or the other for it not lasting longer...
I don't see Jimmy sitting in a successful GM job, laughing at Jerry he is not how he roseman he is not shown anything since he left here that would say he could have done this on his own... It's quite the opposite..
And you would think with all the hype that parsecs and Jimmy would be GM right now they'd be part owners of a team they'd be running things they're not they are both disappeared into retirement...
Just kind of like I'm interested in seeing Bill Belichick what's he going to do because before New England he wasn't that good after Tom Brady he hasn't been that good now he's slinked over to a average program with North Carolina and we'll find out where his story ends..
Sometimes teams hit it right we've seen it in other teams have had dynasties we have the new one with Reed and Mahomes and whoever their GM is look some it takes a lot of things to line up and it doesn't happen very often...
