True, but Romo always played ball and signed a six year deal. A lot of the guys who were real buddy buddy with Jerry signed those deals and didn’t put up a fight. I can’t fault Dak for admiring Jerry but not just doing anything he says and signing a crazy long deal. Dak lets his agent handle all that. Of course a good side effect of that is there is at least a glimmer of hope that he really will play somewhere else...
Yep

If you don’t play ball with Jerry the results aren’t usually favorable.

No, I meant quarterback.
Dak never showed up when the pressure was on. That is fact.
He would get the Cowboys close while the other team played prevent, but they shut him down at will when it mattered every season.
Dak thinks doing as he is told is enough, but it's not.
Dak is not a leader. Maybe McCarthy can help him with that.
At worst, he'll get a season of back pay while Dalton relieves him if he chokes this year like he has every other year.
And then he will be gone.
Or maybe he learns. We'll see.
I know exactly what you meant. But I couldn’t disagree more with you. It’s not even worth discussing it . There’s nothing you like about this quarterback. That’s important . In Prescott’s first three seasons he won more primetime games than any other quarterback. . Won more game for he had a ball in his hands last that any other quarterback. Like I said someone’s not paying attention or you just don’t understand what Fact really means

I wonder how much the seasons balance on the table will influence negotiations?

By July 15th we will have a little better sense of league will get started in time.

My instinct is we won’t have a season . And I don’t know how that effects contract negotiations.

That's certainly well within the realm of possibility. It's just a guessing game right now. That one's as good as any! ;)

There's a real probability that no deal is reached. Look at the last two years.

You guy's make everything 100% like there are no other options.

Don't count your chickens.

I dont see the point in him playing on the tag and not signing this offseason. We will see what happens

The answer to below question???

As you can see....Demarcus Lawrence wouldn't sign 2nd Franchise Tag because of the injury sustained during 1st Franchise Tag Pro Bowl 2018

Hello.... it's only logical that Lawrence wouldn't play again on Tag after injury...

Stop selling wolf tickets ....Dak Haters

Lawrence had leverage and Cowboys capitulated a month later April 5th to give Lawrence largest DE contract...

Go back to your hole Dak Hater

All you have proven is that you are an illiterate troll.
DeMarcus Lawrence did not HAVE to sign the tender in order to be able to negotiate a longer contract. The other troll on this thread said that Dak HAD to sign the tender in order to be able to negotiate a longer contract.
Crawl back under your rock now troll. Learn to read before you butt in when your betters are talking.

What "should" go on and what "will" go on are two different things.

Ignoring the business side and with somewhat unlimited time, a legitimate competition would be best for the team. But we know that doesn't happen. First team snaps are limited so teams are careful in their distribution. This makes a fair, legitimate competition limited in scope but is part of the NFL rules for preseason preparation.

Absolutely bro and specifically accurate. The true measure of Mike McCarthy's authority will be put to the ultimate test.

My guess is this: Basic simple and fundamental footwork/throwing exercises and rudimentary QB exercises will expose Daks lack of foundational traits needed to be an NFL franchise guy.

McCarthy will be forced into starting a guy who can't run his offense as to his specs.

Ultimately, Dak is either benched and Dallas survives the near future or Dallas caves as they often do, and Dak gets an un deserved contract and McCarthy is fired by year 3.

Opening the door for Jason Garrett part II, (drumroll)...enter the Kellen Moore era, lol!!

That's my prediction.

Jerry gets "his guy" to coach again. In training no less, lol. :)
History does repeat itself.

I feel pretty good about a deal being reached.
