Why ....are you....fighting....so hard....to downgrade tony romo?
Are you a fan of the cowboys? You keep saying you are....but you keep fighting to curb stomp romo's face....
Under the guise of fair. Come on dude. Admit it. You hate romo and protecting dak. It is....the only explanation for this zealous arguing.
Just go. I can’t take your flip flopping and putting your big *** head in business that don’t belong to you…..always making generalizations you hate the Cowboys since you hate Dak? See how stupid that is?

Lol, might as well say that you don't understand football. Crayton stopped running for no reason at all on the route, but Romo should get the blame for that?
Now Crayton stopped running. Ok like I told the other poster agree to disagree I’m not talking this game with someone who hasn’t seen it in 15 years.

Romo was good come on! Dak has a great D(like 2016) and weapons all over now especially with zeke and pollard now. Romo didnt have all that talent. Romo was a more intelligent and better QB. Dak is a strong leader and stronger athlete than Romo was.

There are no valid excuses for why Romo never played in a NFC Championship game.

He was not good enough.
Eli, Dilfer, Flacco, Foles....seem "good enough"...even though they weren;t near the QB Romo was.

Maybe it's not on the QB.

WHen I made that comment, I was replying to someone who said something about 13 pro bowlers on his team. They must not have been good enough either. EVen bad QB's should be able to win with that kind of team.

Maybe not always the QB.

Sorry bro...didn't mean to make ya mad. I just found your...persistence....interesting. Of course you are a Cowboys fan.

And...I won't be going anywhere. You do have options.

And..I clearly don't hate Dak, if that's your point there. If you want to show an example maybe I can explain it for you. (Nobody ever finds a real "hate" example...but maybe you got one).

Not to harp on 2007, but if Crayton had even played an average game, Dallas wins that one fairly comfortably.
He left at least 7 and possibly 14 points on the field.
They needed him to step up because TO was playing at 50% with the busted ankle, but he had a rough day.
It didn't turn out right for us that day, 16 years ago.

Most if not all of those QBs including Romo will not get inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame… unlike Staubach and Aikman

And they at least played in championship games and won SBs unlike Romo.

Eli led Giants defeated the Romo led Cowboys in the 2007 divisional playoff round.

So what does they tell you about Romo?

A lot of what-ifs?

What if Jimmy Johnson stayed longer? Would the Cowboys won 3-5 SBs in a row?

What if pass interference was called on Deion Sanders in the 1994 NFC Championship game? Would the Cowboys came back and won the game?

Yes indeed....those little, barely noticed moments that make or break a championship. Pointing fingers at the QB...is a cheap, cowards way out.

It tells me nothing about Romo and everything about the team.

It's weird that you said that you watched the game recently when you miss things that are very obvious and easy to find highlights of. A QB can't catch the ball, he needs his teammates to not choke like Crayton did here.

You can have 1 of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game and not win a Super Bowl if you don't have a great team behind them, or at least a team that catches fire in the playoffs and wins a Super Bowl. It really isn't the quarterback. Sure they help, but bad quarterbacks can win a Super Bowl with a good team. Nobody is ever going to say Nick Foles, or Trent Dilfer was the caliber quarterback that Dan Marino was but, the latter 2 have Super Bowls and Dan Marino does not. Romo, and Prescott are certainly quarterbacks that can win a Super Bowl. I'd say both could win a Super Bowl with a team good not great. I don't say that about Troy Aikman. I think Troy was very limited, but with a great team around him excelled as a piece. I think if you put Romo, and Prescott on those teams they would have won super Bowls as well.

He pulled up but was still a overthrow. Game on the line and I'm going to one of the best receivers of all time.....I ain't going to Crayton.....

So initially the narrative was the Giants were too good and stopped us.....but now its Crayton choked?

Those Giants teams were never great. Great teams dont' always win the SB. Nick Foles team wasn't great either.

Whoa for a sec.

Quarterbacks and wide receivers establish their timing during practice. Timing requires quarterbacks and wide receivers to go full speed. On every snap. The repetition is essential for it to be replicated during live games.

Crayton could have still bobbled and dropped the pass if he had tried to catch it. That did not happen. What happened was Crayton slowed his route. Slowing his route disrupted the timing between him and Romo.

Of course it was an overthrow for that reason. My question is why does Crayton gets dismissed from the consequences of his miscue yet Romo is thus accountable for "not throwing" to another receiver?

The quarterback did his job. The receiver did not. Why is the receiver left off the hook after not doing his job?

Mind-boggling that anyone calls that an overthrow. In fact, nobody does. Not even the announcers once they watched the replay.
That was a perfect throw for the win. Crayton got lazy and slowed his route before realizing the ball was coming his way.
And, of course, he also had the massive, back-breaking drop earlier as well. That one had wide open pasture....oh well.
Lots of mistakes that game
We came up short
