Might it just be as simple as Dak in his 7th year is better than Dak in his 3rd? Is this really so implausible to people?
It's weird that 7th year Dak is better than 3rd year Dak, but still not better overall than 1st year Dak.

That has yet to be determined.. Well except in the minds of people with a desperate need to be "right" about him.. Despite all the improvements in his overall game some people can never bring themselves to admit that he's simply a better QB now than he was as a rookie. Yes we all enjoyed the style of play they brought out in 2016 and it would not bother me one bit to bring it back.. But that aint hapnin.. Not with this Steve Spurrier/Mike Leach/Kliff Kingsbury wannabe calling plays..

The only reason you have the guts to make this bet is because you know how bad the division is.
No, the only reason he has the guts to make the bet is because it's easy to bet when you're not putting anything on the line.

You see how he piped down when I asked him to put his account on the line?

He stood to lose nothing.

Let's do it! For 1 year! Man up or zip it.

Uh....wasn't the lack of big name WRs the reason we signed Coop? It catapulted our season after.

Thats why the team was so successful early on last season. The problems began when teams started forcing Dak to win games with his arm. Dak can't do this, he needs things to operate like the bolded part above.

Dak surely can win games without a reliable running game. If you haven't seen the memo that Zeke was awful last year. Pollard picked up the slack for sure. But the reason why we had a successful season on offense was because of Dak.

kavontae turpin and dennis houston have already made a name for themselves.
michael gallup will be back sooner than later...he also is known...well.
so...i'd say this group is anything but a bunch of no-names.
I like Houston, a lot. And am a huge fan of Turpin before we even signed him. I watched him in the USFL. That said, you don't 'make a name' for yourself in August... At least not one that matters.

I agree, but add them to Lamb, Noah Brown, Tolbert and the TE’s and RB’s, and you have a pretty decent arsenal of weapons, IF they stay healthy and are utilized properly, we’ll be fine.

I think it was Stanback or Holly that made the point about Gallup coming back.

When he comes back, we have no idea if he'll be the same player. He'll need time to get into the groove.

In any case, I still like our WRs enough to roll with them in the game.
I get your point, but I think Gallup is a warrior, and it might take a week or two of playing, but I think he'll be just fine.

turpin has.
so has houston.
they are now known players by most of our fans that follow this team closely.
they certainly aren't no names now...a month ago maybe.
but not now.
and you do make a name for yourself in august...certainly among the coaches who have an idea who the 53 will be.
didn't say they were stars....but they are now known.
