Personally I think this is a better overall team than 2018, I think defense is vastly improved and while I do see some weakness at WR unlike 2018 we have a TE who is capable. I suspect Dallas will look to run the ball more especially early going as they ease these young WR into the season. I think football is more about overall team and from that perspective I think we are much better than 2018

They're going to crowd the middle and play corners off until Dak proves he can beat it. Hopefully they'll move him around and by time for separation.
We have enough talent at receiving and TE

Cedrick Wilson wasn't a big name WR, but he really stepped in and performed admirably, both with Dak and with even Cooper Rush.

A great deal is about the QB ..and it's also about the level of weaponry we have to provide him.

Personally I love it, we don’t need big-name receivers ,we’re going to make our receivers have big names. CD lamb Exception.
Free agency prima donnas. I’ve always said keep them, let somebody else have that price tag .
I hope I’m right . maybe Jerry Jones and Company finally learned how to do things.
Lol not that they didn’t before , we have championships , but it’s been a while. Obviously.
Smash mouth, control the ball, dink and dunk football. That’s what works best for Prescott it always has.
I have a feeling we’re going to get back to it. Go cowboys can’t wait for the season.

I think most are overly focused on a WR group when Kellen Moore needs to design gameplans and schemes using more weapons the way they need to be utilized like Pollard and turpins speed, Lamb in motion and bunches keep defenses from being able to easily double his. Add in Schultz and hopefully Furgeson does some good stuff and how about a RUN Game, a real one. nice PA pass type 2 TE sets and disguise run pays with pass formations and vice versa.

this year is Soley on Moore regardless of Gallup coming back etc he needs to taker the offense to the next level and be the aggressor make the defense adjust and defend many options vs trying to force the ball to lamb etc

No need for the young Wrs to be vital, sure they can make some catches I mean ced, turner and others weren't themselves at the beginning. You sprinkle them in but we have talent with Dak, Zeke, pollard, lamb , Turpin, Schultz etc If Moore cant design a multi- faceted offense utilize that talent in many ways, he should let go mid season or demoted to QB coach and had it over to MM..

Let's do it! For 1 year! Man up or zip it.
What's the bet, kid?

If you're going to say "The Cowboys make the playoffs" then you're wasting your time. They could go 8-9 and make the playoffs in today NFL.

If you come at me with anything less than an NFC Championship game appearance then don't bother.

Although I'm going on record thinking the WR corps now are better than what we had in '18 prior to Coop.

In the short term, I don't see how they are better. We'll be trotting out a lack of experience & production to start the season. But if the Oline is better & you include the TE's & backs, we should have enough weapons to make do.

They weren't that bad then. They were getting open. The "It's a receiver problem" was a narrative, not an accurate portrayal of the issues.

Let's hope there has been growth throughout the team & coaching staff since then.

Might it just be as simple as Dak in his 7th year is better than Dak in his 3rd? Is this really so implausible to people?

Dak is the focal point for sure but let's hope the team character & coaching has matured as well.

Dak surely can win games without a reliable running game. If you haven't seen the memo that Zeke was awful last year. Pollard picked up the slack for sure. But the reason why we had a successful season on offense was because of Dak.

After game 7 which is when Dak & the offensive line went to crap, the Cowboys only won against the division Atlanta & the Saints. In summary, they won because having a pulse and showing up was 3/4 of the battle.

Your first comment on this thread was, "This guy loved the 2018 pre-Cooper version of Dak." You implied the OP wanted the pre-Cooper Dak who failed to lead the Cowboys to the playoffs in 2017 - 2018 with a bunch of no-name receivers which we have once again today in 2022. So, I challenged you. I bet you with a whole year (2023) to stay away from this website that Dak can and will carry this group full of no-name receivers to the playoffs once again. Now you are backtracking and wanting to move the goal posts? Pfft. What's the matter? Not confident enough in yourself?

Shut your trap if you're not man enough to accept my initial bet about Dak being able (or not) to lead this group of no-name receivers to the playoffs this season of 2022. Step up and accept it like a man...or zip it once and for all.

You don't read well do you?

The Cowboys could literally have a losing record and still make the playoffs in today's NFL.

If you want me to shut my trap you're going to have to be realistic or you could always fake block me again.

all that matters is we mostly agree on this one.. fans are more worried about our loses at wr when they need to worry about Moore, the run game, and utilizing all our talent vs forcing it to Lamb. Over 17 games that will all balance out.

So you're not so sure of yourself? You're just here to troll as usual? How old are you? You've called me kiddo in the past, yet I bet I am older than you. You're just an all-talk troll who loves to bash Dak yet is not man enough to accept a year long ban bet when called out.

It is unknown how Prescott will gel with this receiving corps but it is premature to apply what happened before they traded for Cooper to this season.

You're intellectually a kiddo.

That's why I call you kiddo, kiddo.
