The final score was misleading, imo. The Colts self-destructed in the fourth quarter. To their credit, the Cowboys took advantage. But both the passing rush and the passing game were a spotty prior to then. It looked like they hadn’t practiced well. Good news is there’re plenty of miscues for the coaches to harp on this week.

"Well that settles it then...the home run hail mary is added to our routine play list!"

Referring to his perfect td pass as a hail mary.
Nope...that isnt what i said at all.

No matter.....its not worth detail. Unless you insist ofcourse.

What's perplexing about it? The DB outfought the receiver for position (again.) It's a recurring theme with our guys it seems. These are timing throws which are made to a spot counting on the receiver to win. They are by definition a riskier play but it appears that Moore and Dak are committed to keeping them in the offense so we better get used to seeing a few of them go the other way until we either get a Dez type receiver who will die before he lets a db outfight him for the ball, or one of our main receivers becomes that guy. I can't help but chuckle that if Dak had been willing to make these types of "faith" throws to Dez early in his career Dez might still be here.

There's a reason why guys like Stafford and Burrow throw way more INTs than guys like Dak. They take more chances. Now that Dak is taking more chances he's seeing some of the same results.. while the team is still averaging 40 points a game. If Mahomes or Burrow or Stafford were leading a team to 40 ppg we'd be reading every day how Dak needs to play more like them. As long as Dak maintains a 3-1 TD to INT ratio I think we're gonna be okay. I don't like interceptions either.. but they come with the territory when you run this type of offense and you make more "to the spot" throws versus the dreaded "wait till they're open" throws people have railed against for years. Just make up your minds people. Just kidding.. I know people have already made up their minds.. For some of them nothing Dak does will ever be good enough.. Not my problem..
I guess i didnt assess it the same way. I will defer to your judgement.

the fact that you’re calling 66% completion with 3tds Ryan Leaf really brings into question if you understand what you’re watching or not
Are you insinuating he played well? You can listen to his presser and he'll let you know what he thinks of how he played.

Colts have made every NFC East QB look bad. Washington only won 17-16. Eagles needed two miracle plays in 4th to beat Colts 17-16 the week after their first loss, so you know they were ready to play. Sometimes you have to give the other team credit, but the games are 60 minutes, and it all counts.

I didn’t hear Ryan Leaf anywhere in there. Once again 66% completion with 3 TDs is not Ryan leaf

Look up tongue-in-cheek my guy. My point was he looks pedestrian against better defenses and all-world when the pressure is off.

They are different...... CeeDee is a whirling dervish and Dez was all about power.

They would have been a good duo together with Romo
i just like how hard dez and ceedee play. Dez ran like wrecking ball. Ceedee has great vision and awareness of the sticks. He definitely puts a target on his back with these defensive backs tho they can’t wait to light him up lol.

Any chance most QB’s do better when the pressure is off and struggle against better defenses? I’m going to guess that this is pretty normal.

Dak throws for 350 yards and the Cowboys lose - "Dak sucks!"

Dak throws for 170 yards and the Cowboys win - "Dak sucks!"

This is the dumbest critique to me. Good defenses are supposed to be harder to carve up, that’s the point of them being good lol. And yet he still completed 2/3 of his passes and had a 100 passer rating. I don’t understand you guys

Gallup also fell down and it was completely uncontested…

Our recent INTs have been weird though. They’re never just normal picks where you can clearly point the finger.

Moore and Dak have clearly made it a choice to integrate more of these types of throws into the offense. In years past Dak would never make that type of throw until he saw the receiver had his man beat. That would cause him to be "late" on throws which people screamed bloody murder about it. Now he's throwing with anticipation and counting on the receivers to get to the spot where he thinks they should be. Sometimes he's wrong, sometimes the receiver is wrong and sometimes the DB just makes a good play. It happens.. to ALL quarterbacks who play that style. It's the style people have been crying about wanting Dak to play for 3-4 years. Now that's he's doing it AND THE OFFENSE IS PUTTING UP FORTY A GAME they want to complain about it. Go figure..

No, because you cant make these mistakes in the playoffs and expect to win.

Of course you can. Brady threw INTs on three back to back possessions in the second half against the Packers two years ago and still made it to the Super Bowl.. You know why? Because he had a really good defense backing him ... I guarantee you if Dak throws 3 TDS and 1 INT in a playoff game and the running game goes for 200 yards the Cowboys will win that game no matter who the opponent is. In other words if he plays this exact game and his teammates play this exact game the Cowboys will win and advance. You know why? Because he has a really good defense backing him.

I don't think so, its really just another game where he's missing wide open receivers, or over throwing open ones. he was 20/30 and % wise that's not bad.... what hurt, was on the 3rd downs missing on the throws consistently this game. if we were in short yardage on 3rd down it was good, 3rd and long not so much. Now i know Colts Defense back 7 are better than some think so that had something to do with it. All in all it really seemed like another game where he's missing receivers and over throwing people.
