Why does anyone care about the win/loss of preseason games?

I am not sure people care about the win/loss. It’s a glorified practice right? Do you want the team to have a good practice or bad practice?

Why is it that it’s Ok to complement a player like Parsons for having a good game but not criticize some other facet of the team for practicing like crap?

It’s like just because it’s the preseason, we shouldn’t express any opinion whatsoever on what we are viewing. That makes no sense to me and we have this same discussion every year (except last year since preseason was cancelled).
