The Cowboys had 4 penalties 20 yards against Az after Schottenheimer said after the Seahawk game they had to reduce penalties .
Good job .

Fairweather the Ex Cowboy now Cardinal had two TD’s negated by PI and holding just horrible for a team .

Didn't say there wasn't, just that it wasn't like he made a spectacular play to rip the ball away from a receiver. The receiver tripped and Revel was where he was supposed to be. I don't have a problem with how he's played so far. There's been some hit and miss but the reports on him out of camp are good.

I agree. Bland parlayed a season feasting on very poor opposing QB play into a lifetime of financial security (or should be). Just me opinion, but Bland wasn’t a fantastic cover corner. He was, however, competent enough to be in a position to take advantage of mistakes.

You can't teach 4.3 speed at running back, and willingness to mix it up with defenders. Blue is improving in facets of the position. Can he be a situational receiver or also play some special teams?

I think it comes down to what the Cowboys prefer. Barron looks very good and helps on special teams. But the Cowboys invested a draft pick on James and he did start six games last year (pretty much out of necessity). I think if Barron and James are both equal on ST the tie goes to the player they drafted (James).

The formula ought to be that if the player, their draft or not, is not performing to a high standard even as a backup, then the tie goes to the new guy.

I don't think you give Bland enough credit. He was great during that season, breaking on the ball in front of receivers to make plays, not just taking advantage of poor play. He has his flaws, and most of them have been because he can't stay healthy. I'm not sure after two foot surgeries if he can be the same corner that he was in the past.

Yeah I was wrong on that in one of the threads (possibly this one). Dallas had 4 for 20. The Cardinals had 8 for 63.
