Preseason record doesn't mean anything..

No one brought up the BIGGEST reason why you can not read ANYTHING into preseason games. Because coaches will at times PURPOSELY put players in positions that they would NEVER think of actually putting them in during the regular season. Case in point against the Bronco's, does I sure hope that people don't actually believe that Wade Phillips would be stupid enough to match Mike Jenkins up man to man against a Brandon Marshall. Yet, in the preseason that is EXACTLY what he did and did it multiple times. Why?? For two reasons. First, it gives him a chance to see where Jenkins is as a player, and it also gives him a chance to see how Jenkins will react to failure. It also is a great TEACHING tool, he can now go back and show Jenkins what went wrong, and what to do differently so that he can get BETTER.

Preseason games are meant for Evaluation (of young guys, and new players), teaching, experimenting, timing (letting the first team players get their timing and game legs underneath them), and FINALLY winning. But not at the expense of ANY of the previous 4 things.

Sorry, but IF you COULD NOT put ANYTHING into preseason GAMES, then THEY wouldn't PLAY them.

You shouldn't come to a conculsion regarding preseason games, but to say you can't put "Anything" into them is dumb.

All it means is that, as a team, you played some warmup games. That's it. There's no Pre-season Lombardi Trophy.
