Pressure is on the Giants now, a loss pretty much seals it

The Steelers should beat the Giants.

And then we'll clinch the following week.

Yep. I think the Giants lose in a dog fight to Pitt and will be worn down physically and emotionally and then have to play a rested Dallas squad that is hungry to win the division and give em some payback for our only L on the year.

I see NY losing 2 straight :flagwave:

If the Giants lose to the Steelers, that pretty much hands us the division. We would be 3 games up with 4 to play. It would take a massive choke job to drop 3 out of 4 and have the Giants run the table with 5 in a row.

So we should be the biggest Steeler fans in the country this Sunday............I feel dirty even saying that;)
I feel dirty reading this thread title. :muttley:

No matter what we will have to beat them.

It just feels so much like 07 and I imagine next weeks game is just round 2 of a 3 round fight.

We're not losing 4 games this year.

If Giants lose Sunday than it just becomes a normal game for us really. We wont lose 3 of our next 4 and I like the odds of them losing a 5th with their upcoming schedule.

If we finish 13-3.............we would still end up with HFA as the number 1 seed unless either the Giants win out. Seattle is even in worse shape because they have 3 losses and a tie, so even if they win out they could not pass Dallas at 13-3.

Simply put, if we just go .500 with a 2-2 record over these last couple of games, we win HFA as the number one seed unless the Giants go 5-0. They cant lose a single game if we just go .500

At this point, not getting HFA would take a major league choke job............this is really setting up nice for us for a change:grin:

Thanks for the nice summary.

If the giants lose and we beat them where does that leave them in terms of playoff race? is there any way for them to miss out?

Even on a normal Sunday it is Steelers over Giants for me. I hate all division rivals before I start hating other teams.

Order of my hate
1. Eagles
2. Commanders
3. Giants
4. Cardinals (loving this season for them, all the locals have shut up and returned to their old teams as the band wagon broke)
5. Patriots (mainly because of the cheating)
6. 49ers
7. Steelers
8. Texans
9. Ravens

Spagnolua is back, so it is a lot like 07. If
Strahan decides to come back I might be done!! Lol

Maybe a bunch of Cowboys fans can go to the Giants / Steelers game...dressed in Cowboys jerseys and root for the Steelers...now that would be funny to see on TV, as they wave those terrible towels....:muttley:

Commanders win out and they will get the wc, instead of the giants I believe.

Correct, and also if the Giants lose to the Steelers and us Tampa can tie them if Tampa wins out, not sure about the tiebreaker there. I think it's more likely the Giants will need to lose at least 3 of their last 5 to miss the playoffs.

How great would it be to actually rest guys the last game of the season and a bye week?

Not trying to be caught looking forward, but the stakes are high to execute down the stretch.

If we win our next 2 games we clinch #1 seed. We could actually rest for the last 2 games although that may be too much rest.
