I'm still waiting for an explanation for how his media babble CAUSES the team to lose.
I never said it did. I said it is a symptom of a losing atmosphere and we should eliminate it.

I would definitely get rid of Owens. Not because he is a bad player, he isn't. Not by any wild stretch of the imagination.

Not because the fans and media are calling for it. Screw that. Who cares? I don't.

Not because it could drive Garrett or Sherman away. I'm the biggest Garrett shill on the forum. I have a serious agenda for him to be the next Head Coach.

There are three reasons why I would do this. Felix Jones, Marion Barber, and Tashard Choice.

I love ball control Offense. I love to pound the other team to death. I love to see the Defense getting rest while the Offense moves the chains.

Roy can be a #1, Austin #2, Crayton the #3. Witten is the best weapon in the passing attack anyway and Bennett could be utilized more.

The money saved could shore up the O-line which is badly needed. I'd like to spend on Defense so that they can be the attacking disruptive force I want. 59 sacks in 2008 was great, but they gave up too many points, too much yardage and wore down.

The payoff would be less distractions. Sorry Owens fans, but denying he is a distraction is wearing blinders. Guy is one hell of a football player, but he is high maintenance and what this team needs is a new focus. Ball control is the answer.

We'd still have some home run hitters with Roy, Austin and especially Felix.

We might score fewer points, in fact we probably would. But I'd trade that for a more focused, less distracted team that wins more and I think we'd win more in 2009 with Owens gone and a new focus on Offense.

It's just my opinion and you're free to disagree.
So your pretending to be a GM and u say cut TO. what other moves would u make, just cutting TO and taking a nice cap hit at that, I guess cut Hamlin and Flo also because they did worse than TO......TO is not the problem, we have a team who has thin skin and any type of heat from the media they fold.

Can u imagine the internet in 1992 with Irvin in all that trouble the media and internet would of had all kinds of fun with our boyz.....would u say cut Irvin, but since we are not winning make TO the fall guy.........lol too funny

P.S. TO is not the problem, players with no backbones are............

The cap his is exactly $600,000 more than what it will be if we keep him Sancho.

Thanks for playing.

Eliminate a SYMPTOM? Why?

I mean, if this is merely a symptom OF losing, and it doesn't cause losing itself...who really cares about the symptom? Maybe Jerry Jones and the PR department, but why not let them worry about it and get back to worrying about the team's performance?

I suspect -- I will try not to be condescending to anyone, as I surely don't intend to be -- most of those who discount the Owens effect simply haven't played much football, Hos. Those who have realize it to be an emotional, physically and psychologically demanding game. It is easy to say players have no "backbone," The game requires so much emotion, so much mental work.

The game requires attention and detail. The game preys upon the distracted. The game challenges and tests. It takes days to recover, and it takes days to prepare. Those who discount the impact of distractions likely do not understand.

As for the NFL level, surely none of us understand.

Yep, you eliminate the symptoms so you can cure the disease. In this case losing.

Yes, but if that someone was wearing an iJordanTaber t-shirt, I really don't have a clue who that may have been.

I like ball control offense too, but I fail to see how getting rid of your best receiver would allow that.

The biggest problem with Garrett is his failed use of play action. We have a three headed monster at running back, and how many times did we ever use play action? I can't even remember any.

Having Owens on the team allows the ability for the three headed monster to shine. The problems started with the offensive line. They sucked. That wasn't Owens fault.
