One of my fave non Cowboys teams was Brady's undefeated 2007 squad. I guess the Cowboys d-line depth of the 90s could have given Brady the same probs as the Giants d-line did in that year's SB.

But it still would have been cool to watch Deion and Moss go one on one imo.

Dallas would've dominated the time of possesion with the running game keeping Brady off the field and the Pats' defense would've been gassed by the time the 4th qtr rolled around.

34-17 Dallas

Which team wins that game?

Dallas easily wins that game. First of all, Dallas made it through an NFC East GAUNTLET!!! Tom Brady and those Patriot teams played in the worst cream puff division for over a decade. Dallas would have trashed those Patriots teams.

Patriots, because they are the most recent team.
Player's strength, size, health and speed get better over time due to advances in medicine , training , nutrition ect

It depends on the rules. Size isn't that much different. In the 90's the average O-lineman was 6'4", 300 pounds. Today, it's 6'5", 313 pounds. Running backs are about the same, and there were massive RB's back then. There are plenty of edge rushing DE's today in the 260-270 range. There were speedy 4.4 40 receivers back then. Maybe the bench has better athletes in the 2000's. We see this with the NBA, although the NBA has had an infusion of talent from Europe.

If 90's rules were used, what would happen to Brady against, say, Buddy Ryan's Eagle defenses? Brady is probably in the hospital by halftime. Use the 2007 rules and half the Eagles defense is probably tossed from the game. I'm confident that the 'Boys could take Brady's team, although Brady is the best QB on the field in this matchup. Our team was strong all over with excellent depth. No reason we couldn't win.

The Patriots. Football players in the 2000s are better then the 90s. Although I would have loved to see the 92 Cowboys vs the 2007 Patriots. That would have been a classic.
Lol….no they aren’t. That’s hilarious.

where’s Reggie white? Moss? Deion?

That’s garbage. Your talking about 10 years.

cowboys win easy. No salary cap.

Are we considering the cameragate era, where the Patriots spy on the opposing teams sideline signals, then deny that they knew that was wrong? That would narrow the margin of victory a bit.

Honestly, even IF the Patriots knew what plays were coming, they couldn't stop the expertise of the well-practiced lead draw. I'd say, 52-17 Cowboys.

I honestly believe the Cowboys of the early ‘90s beat any team before or since. There was incredible depth and monsters on that squad and a coach who terrified them and drove them to excel.

Brady's Patriots won by playing smart football......they would be overwhelmed at every position playing the early 90's pre salary cap Cowboys.

The part you mention about the cap is especially important when having this discussion, too.

Look how that undefeated patriots met their demise, strong dLine by Gints wore their offense and restricted points, which was one of the strong points of the 90’s team . Also the 90’s team had better run game and so they would be keeping Brady and pats O on the bench.
