Drew Stanton or Jordan Palmer

Wrong qb's, Stanton was terrible against Notre Dame whose defense is not very good.

Exactly, there are other veteran qb's we could get next year while we're developing a young qb. We don't just have to get a vet qb who played for Parcells before.

Contrary to what many believe , I think Parcells would agree with you . I don't think he fears pulling Bledsoe in favor of Romo at all . Saying that "Bledsoe gives us the best chance to win now" is a pretty loose statement , and can change from game to game .

I actually think that if NYG puts the kind of pressure on Bledsoe that the Eagles did , and Bledsoe has similar results , he may not make it past half time of this game . If Dallas goes into half with 3 sacks and 2 Ints. against them , I think you see Romo play the second half . This is just too big of a game .

I too think Bledsoe is on a fairly short leash, but it would be a big move to change at halftime of the Giants game.

I'm not saying it can't happen - if the game goes like the Eagles game I think Parcells has to consider it, but I'm sure Parcells would prefer to make a change between games so that Romo could prepare as the starter all week.

I like your comments about "best chance to win" being a loose statement that is subject to change. For whatever reason many seem to have interpereted "Bledsoe gives us the best chance to win" to mean that Parcells has predetermined that to be true for the entire 2006 season. Parcells will not give Bledsoe a free pass for the entire season no matter what, he has to perform well and consistently if he wants to hold the job.

I can't stand Bledsoe, but I'll take him over Tony Romo anyday. Not that I don't like the kid, I just don't think that Jason Garrett clones should be starting in the NFL.

But Quincy Carter should be starting in the NFL?

Drew Stanton? Mr."Goes-to-pieces-so-fast-people-get-hit-by-the-shrapnel" himself? Please tell me you're kidding.

Actually, I should have added a funny face to that post you quoted. Perhaps you had better qualify the term "vet." Romo is a four year "vet" for the Dallas Cowboys.

Of course, you may consider Quincy Carter the only "vet" worth considering. But that vet would be a worse bet than Romo -- whatever you may think of Romo.

If I had a vote we'd clean house at the qb position and start over by bringing in a veteran qb who can actually play and draft a qb on day two. I already know what you're going to say.:laugh2:
No you don't. Because even I am speechless that after a year and a half of school you still can't add.

I think with the way this season has gone so far for Bledsoe, he is on a short lease. If he has a game where his mistakes are the main cause of the loss, he should go and Romo should come in.

What worries about Bledsoe is what someone else pointed out, he doesn't look as good as he did last year. It's not just that he's had a couple of bad games. His other games have been just ok. He hasn't had a wow game yet, like he did last year at this time.

Romo may not have the same arm, but he will get rid of the ball quickly and won't take as many sacks.

I like Bledsoe and hope he can do it, but one more bad game would convince me.

If he has one? You mean if he has one more! Because as I see it he's already done that twice!

Ditto ! Start Romo in 2007 , beg Bledsoe to stay as his backup (maybe bribe him with one of them fancy Rascal Scooters) , and take a QB in round one or two of the 2007 draft, Trent Edwards , Jordan Plamer , etc.....

Bledsoe's next stop is.............................daaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhRaiduhs:lmao2:

He's already well on his way there, do you realize that last week he passed for career TD #250 and #251?

But instead of celebrating this great milestone, we choose to bash him?

I think we need to draft a QB this year. Give Romo the ball in 2007 and groom the blue chipper.

That doesnt make any sense to me. If you want to draft a QB next year to groom then I think its better to keep a veteran.

So what? He will get in the same class as Dave Kreig and Vinny Testeverde. AKA, he doesnt have a chance in hell.

Its not the hall of the half way decent.

Drew is on pace for over 50K yards and nearly 300 TD's......that's just a tad more than 'half way decent' so sorry to burst your bubble....

Also he already has a winning record in the playoffs and has two superbowl appearances and a ring as a contributor.

Drew is canton bound and I can't wait to go to his enshinement sometime next decade...I really hope he puts the icing on the cake with a world title in dallas and is immortalized as a cowboy!:starspin
