Pro Bowl voting news

Take care that you don't say something you might regret later. Manning is struggling but it's not unlike what I've seen from other QBs. He's still only in his third year. Rack was not wrong about Eli's talent. It's there. It's just a matter of developing.
Right. After Vick's 6th year in the league some people are still waiting for him to develop. I'm sure Eli will get the same leeway because of his last name.

The key there is 6 years as opposed to 3. I'm sure your right. He will get the benifit of the doubt and he should. It's still too early to call him a failure. History shows that it takes time for QBs to develope. I'm not saying he will be great but I am saying that the talent is there. Heck, Vick may even figure it out at some point. Lord knows, he has all the tools. Rack wasn't wrong about that. Time will tell if he turns into what many think he could be but I do agree, he will get more time to prove it.

He'll always be judged against Rivers because of the trade, though. Now, after equal time in the league, Rivers is a top-5 QB and Eli is in the middle of the pack (if not below). I don't think Eli will ever be considered a top-5 QB. At best he'll be a "bus driver" type QB in order to limit his mistakes.

Time will tell I suppose. The Giants are a good organization. You can bet that they will do whatever it takes to try and get Manning the help he needs.

If they had kept Sean Payton through all this Eli would be much further along. I guess that's what you get for blaming the wrong scapegoat.

hmm I've forgotten to vote for Witten...but who the heck is voting for Rivera? He isn't necessarily even the best guard on the team...definitely not playing as well as Shawn Andrews based on what I've seen.

People probably think he still blocks for Favre, most vote on name recognition.

He is... better at lining up like a DE to get his sacks and that's about it.

There ya go.. I fixed it for ya.

I think its a little much to say that Rivers is a Top 5 QB, did you see the Oakland game last week. He's good but he is not elite.

Rivera over Andrews at OG is the most ridiculous thing I've seen.

Rivers is a top 5 QB in this league today. I dare you to argue otherwise.

Injury replacements go to the alternates. So if McNabb can't go, the fourth-place quarterback would go. If someone else can't, the fifth-place quarterback would.

Romo's best chance is to get as high as possible in the fan voting and hope that the players and coaches put him in the top two. And even then, he might need an injury to another quarterback or two.
And there is a precedent for somebody who didn't play a full season going to the Pro Bowl. In 2002 McNabb only played 10 games, and was named the 4th QB, and went as an alternate.

If Romo keeps up the numbers, he should go as a starter. He will have played enough games.

Half a season doesn't make you elite. I need to see more from him just like Romo. Good starts but way too early to put them that high. And if they are, it says much more for the lack of quality QB's than their talent.

Whether it makes you "elite" or not, there are not five QBs in the league that are better than him, right now.

AdamJT,

Could you let us know how Jason Ferguson and Bradie James are doing in the voting? They have been playing well this year. Do you think that they will even have a shot at making it?

Thanks alot!
