I can see your point on Folk, with him being a rookie.. but people still remember him because of that Bills game..
106 yard field goals are hard to forget.

Being a rookie isn't an impediment to playing in this game, esp on special teams. Didn't Hester go last year?

I'm pretty sure it's 33%.

1/3 fan, 1/3 coaches, 1/3 players

How is that possible if Folk leads all kickers in votes, including AFC kickers?

Because the fan voting counts for only one-third of the vote. If Folk doesn't finish first or second among the players and coaches, someone like David Akers could beat him out.

I just think it will be difficult for Folk to beat out some of the veteran kickers when the coaches and players vote.

I can't believe Peppers is being voted for by people. These people must not watch the games and vote on name alone. Peppers has been horrible this season. He is a 4-3 DE and has only 3 sacks for the season. Canty is a 3-4 end and also has 3 sacks. People here in NC have been real critical of Peppers this year, it doesn't even look like he is trying.

Romo, Witten, Ware, Owens, Williams, McBriar are locks.

I think Flozell Adams, Andre Gurode, and Leonard Davis will go to the Pro Bowl as well.

Barber, I'm fence sitting on. I could see him going either way (making it, or being excluded)

Hey Adam, Did you track this last year as well?? if so, How did the top 3 in fan voting at all positons do compared to the final selection. It would help in gauging how realistic some of these may or may not be.

I hate the Favre love, he looked absolutely pedestrian against us, he's well behind Romo in every statistical category except for passing yards, just stupid

The Brendon Ayanbadejo vote smells awfully fishy to me.

Perhaps, but can anybody really justify ANY Cowboys special teams cover guy making the Pro Bowl?? Seems to me that our kick cover teams pretty much suck...

People suddenly care about this game? Hi-larious.

I don't care about the game itself, I never watch it... but the number of players your team puts in that game gives you bragging rights all offseason... :D

thanks for the update as always, Adam.. i love these..

so here's who i think will actually make it, once the players and coaches get to vote as well:

Romo
TO
Witten
Adams
Gurode
Davis
Roy
Newman
Ware
Ellis
McBriar
Folk

i mean, i could see a few others making it, especially looking at these votes.. but I gotta figure that the players and coaches will spread the wealth a bit more than the fans.. and I can't see much more than 12 players making it.. that's a ton..

I don't see McBriar making the team... I'm happy he's our punter, but he has not had the best season at his position in the NFC this year... OTOH, I think that Hamlin might well make the squad... with a coupla more picks, Henry might make the squad, too... and as I've been saying all along, the most underappreciated potential Pro Bowler on the roster is Marc Colombo...

I doubt Ellis and Folk will make it, and I wouldn't be surprised if Newman got robbed again.

Unless Folk struggles at the end of the season, he ought to make the team... who else do you put in the game as the kicker from the NFC, Adam??

I didn't say Folk shouldn't make it, I just doubt he will. My guess is that one of the non-rookie kickers will get in -- maybe David Akers, Josh Brown or last year's Pro Bowl kicker, Robbie Gould.

I've just always believed that when it comes to kickers and punters, past rep doesn't mean as much in the Pro Bowl voting process, they tend to go with the guys who put up the numbers that year...

At the same time, I knew you didn't say that Folk shouldn't make it, I just phrased my question badly...

And we all know that especially when a team is very good, they wind up with a player or two or three who deserves to go to the Pro Bowl but doesn't... Folk may well fall into that category this year, which would be a crying shame...
