when they used to do the portrait...the player or coach or front office person would have to pick which team so it could be painted in that teams color's.
but when the artist died...they stopped doing those so now nothing is ever said about what team they're going in as...except for us fans.
i miss those portraits.
they were so cool...and the likeness was amazing.
the league used him for alot of things.
the cowboys used him for their prints during their silver season anniversary back in '84.
they were sold thru pizza hut.

In baseball, the HOF busts have a cap. The player has to pick what teams cap to put as part of the bust.

i wish these busts had helmets.

Lester should easily be in the HOF. He was even NFL Defensive Player of the Year ... and yet remains shut out.

" Stick 'em" had nothing to do with him being a perennial shutdown coverage CB.

Only thing I care about is John Wooten getting into the Cowboy haters NFL Hall of Fame.

Wooten scouted all these players excluding Chuck Howley, got them drafted by the Cowboys as Director of Pro Personnel (see Will McClay before his latest Promotion), and then made it possible for them to get jobs in the NFL including President, GM, and Head Coach with the Fritz Pollard Alliance.

So many Cowboys deserve the Hall of Fame,from Cornell Green to Demarcus Ware. It is just what I call it...Cowboy Haters NFL Hall of Fame.

Is Ware going to get inducted as a Cowboy or a Bronco? Most of his career was with Dallas but he never won crap until he got to Denver. Stupid Jerry.......

I believe the Player goes in...no team attachment needs to be indicated...

near the 13min mark you'll notice the portrait next to his bust.
they used to do these for each enshrinee...painted in the team colors.
they used the same artist until he passed away and thats when the portraits stopped.
they were cool.

Lol no way in hell Woodson deserves it over Ware. Ware not getting as a first ballot was a joke, him not getting in a second time should be a crime. Ware retired in top 5 in linebackers when it comes to sacks, Woodson didn't retire at top 5 anything at his position

Ware needed to be first ballot last year.
Dwight Freeney is an All-Decade teamer, which is basically a HOF auto-admit.
Ditto with Joe Thomas.
And then I think I'd put in Zach Thomas.

Chuck and Harvey are on the 70s all decade team...still waiting..HOF is a joke.
