WWEs Roman Reigns Problem
As PWInsider observed, the Undisputed WWE Universal champion is not slated to appear on any Raw or SmackDown shows in the months of July and August. The only exceptions as of now are Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, though he has since been removed from the advertising for next month's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

Reigns taking time off will have a direct effect on both brands assuming he's still a double champ by then. That's also a major indictment on

“a major indictment on the company's failure to create an abundance of new stars in recent years.”

Undeniably true, and undeniably 100% Vince McMahon’s fault. He falls in love with one particular guy and everyone else suffers as a result. Did it with Hogan, did it with Austin (eventually), did it with Cena, doing it with Reigns.

The illusion of wrestling is based on competition. When it’s booked entirely about a very select few (or one), the entire facade collapses.

It was bad enough that they put their top two titles on one guy. Even worse now that the one guy wants time off.

Yep.

Talked to a close friend today who told me Cody would be the next champ! I sure hope not. But with Roman missing so much time coming up, I'm guessing he keeps the belt until at least next year. Maybe until WM. Or beyond. UGH!!!

I doubt that they will put the belt on Cody so soon. The whole Championship storyline is the big thing he’s got going for him right now. Once that’s over, I think his momentum is as well. I expect them to get the mileage out of it first.

I feel like Sasha could easily just leave wrestling and go into acting full time because she has the look and personality to do that.

She might ultimately be happier doing that too. She seems to frequently have issues with WWE decisions.

If you watched last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, you saw the debut of a wrestler by the name of Johnny Elite. If he looked familiar to you, that's because he wrestled in the WWE under the name of John Morrison. He was The Miz's long-time tag team partner.

FS1 is supposed to air 2 episodes of last Friday night's Smackdown. The times are 6:00 Central and 11:00 Central.
