I think that's totally fair...he's got a fairly wide range from 5 ish to 15ish ...but I'd say he's at least above average.

I'd put him closer to 10 with upside but I think the people saying he's terrible or not an NFL starter are very off base
No, it's not totally fair.

Because when you do that, you have to do stupid things like say "Tua is better than Dak" or "Matt Stafford is better than Dak" and make yourself a total hypocrite.

Not to mention that there are new QBs entering the league every year so top ten to start the year doesn’t mean you won’t just drop out of that by the end of the season. Also yes, the top 4 guys lead the pack as QBs that are difference makers and after that it’s a massive drop off
Herbert really made a difference for the Jags I give you that

I am a Dak supporter. This is too high. Lawrence is young but he might need to be higher on that list. He will be a top 5 QB over the next 5 years.

Rankings mean nothing.

The QB position in the NFL is the worst it's been in my lifetime. It's embarrassing.
That's definitely my perception, also. But it might just be perception.

One of my theories: League rules make it easier on the QB position to the point where a lot of average guys can have some success, but usually not sustained success. So QB evaluation is all over the place.

This is beneficial for team building, because you could feasibly have a guy on year 3 of a rookie deal take you to the super bowl-- creating a nice little window for a loaded roster.

Yet the old mindset of chaining the team to a "Franchise QB" persists in most FOs, and usually a team will reward a QB because of some success, that again, are a product a QB friendly league.

Therefore, there are outsized expectations on guys who basically amount to this decade's Mark Brunell. Solid QBs, but not someone that any 90s franchise would have attached themselves to.

It’s funny y’all think this because it’s some 90s statues that wouldn’t survive in todays game.

These defenders are faster and more athletic than ever.

Stafford and Rogers should be higher. Both are better technical QBs and both have won a Super Bowl.

Trevor Lawrence is better than Prescott right now and will almost certainly have the Jags in a CTG or SB soon.

Anyone saying Dak is not top 10 cannot be taken seriously.
No QB has led a higher scoring average per start over the last 3 seasons.
And the guy in 2nd is Mahomes.
They can be taken seriously because the results speak for themselves. Dak shrivels up when the prospect of winning in the divisional round shows up just like Romo.
