I am curious how you guys will feel if Romo gets cut for nothing and goes to Denver and wins two or three rings, while possibly beating us out in the process? All for your feel good story....

I will never say it's never happening but I don't see Romo being cut for no compensation. That would be so far beyond stupid that it's not even fathomable.

Romo could retire, but he has 14 million reasons not to retire, so I don't see that happening either. Dream on peeps, dream on.

it would suck and we would be idiots for helping DEN possibly beat us int the SB...... no loyalty to a guy that will try to beat us.......we play DEN at least once next year.......if they want Romo make it hurt

we already gave them DWare for free when a dozen teams had interest....here's your sign

That's right. If they want Romo, make it hurt. He can hold a clip board for $14 million next year if they don't want to pay our asking price. Don't even give them any Vaseline.

I think it would be considered because if hes a free agent you have to compete with other teams to sign him. If a team is able to make a trade work they can ensure they get thier guy.
He raised Stephen's son into a state champion QB. He's family. They'll let him make his own choice.

Why would you trade for a guy who has full veto rights and will be released anyway?

Dallas will release him and get nothing for him.

Both those things are patently false but carry on

Nothing out there that says you cant trade him to a team of his own choice, at least that is my hope. You would think the teams that would be interested in a bandaid qb would be in contention otherwise whats the point?

But where's the negotiating power in that? The other team could offer you a Mountain Dew.

Lets say Denver is interested but so is ONE other team, maybe KC for example. Both contenders, both teams he would consider. It would take a perfect storm but you only need two teams and a somewhat open minded Romo.

The only four teams I think he'd consider are Denver, Houston, Kansas City, and Arizona. But I think he'd like to choose a team himself, not be just traded.

I could see Romo, Leary, and Williams ending up on the same team.

I could also see him staying put. He's the best QB on this roster, and he knows it. He might let it play out here.

That sounds about right. Although you never know. If there are factors we arent aware of such as growing up in Wisconsin (I think) and being more willing to go somewhere like Chicago. At the end of the day I expect the teams you mentioned to at least sniff around. The more we talk about it the more clear it is to me that we really would need a perfect scenario in order to trade him. Though in my mind if I am one of those four clubs Id be willing to trade in order to make a possible superbowl run. Safer to pay for him up front than get into a bidding war with another team.

I do think theres a good chance he is released in order to appease him. I know its business but I also realize sometimes business is personal. I dont think Jerry (flawed as he may be) would not be as cooperative as possible for Romo. I have enough gratitude and admiration for the man and how he conducted himself both on the field and off the field that even as a selfish fan Id rather not test karma.

No way I can envision him staying. Dak is ready and hes here for the next decade. We have to roll with him, he needs to know we are all in on him. Romo wont settle for a back up spot either, hes too competitive for that.
