No he hasn't been visible in games he's played. He's played in 51 games. He now has 3.5 sacks and 4 TFLs.

You can't make believe these guys into productive players.

He didn't get a chance early in his career and needed time to develop. This is the year opportunity meets preparation for success for Armstrong. He got derailed with the ankle injury.

The Saints game should have all the defenders healthy. Armstrong will go into the rotation by then. Dallas will have two teams of defensive linemen, and Parsons. Sort of like the Jimmy days.

Right now this team's defense is near or at #10. Get healthy and that number could be cut in half. And that is enough to make this a special season.

Regardless what the board's Don Rickles likes to push here as a football thinker.

Why wouldn't it when Gregory, Tank along with Parsons all healthy... this from the 7 should be good enough.

That's the hope but they also need interior pressure. Something Osa Thingamajiga showed the first month and not so much since.

One of the biggest weaknesses of this team is the DL. They lack players there.

This guy has pretty much played as well as Tank for a fraction of the price. I’m not really an Armstrong fan, but he has been a decent player at good value to the Cowboys.
Not even close.

I respectfully disagree it's a weakness, because our rushers have created a bunch of holding calls this year. Holding calls are just as meaningful... but yes interior push should be better when Gregory and Tank returns with Parsons shooting the middle... I even would send Lewis occasionally from the slot... since Parson can drop into coverage as a decoy.... sooo many options when we are fully healthy.

Oh, I thought you were capable of having a serious conversation about this.

The Cowboys have 18 sacks in 9 games. That is pretty mediocre. It has to improve or the top teams will expose this defense.
I guess its all about perspective.

Dallas is # 2 in the league in INT's by one. That's turnovers not TFL's. Dallas is also #1 in the league in INT TD's at 3 and Return yds off INT's is #2 again.

I've always been a big fan of Dorance Armstrong. Good backup and special teams ace...he is worth re-signing and won't be expensive.

That's how you step up! Several splash plays!

We're starting to get depth so it's not a disaster when a starter gets injured. Guys get hurt. You have to have some of this kind of depth to make a playoff run.

Prior to this season Armstrong has been a solid contributor of special teams. But I have noticed him making a much bigger impact on defense this season.
