Protest on Draft Day

I would like to see someone's explanation for New Orleans and Atlanta this year as well, especially New Orleans against a 7-9 team in the playoffs.

Well, the sports car jumped the curb of cogent thought when it tried to make that turn. You should go see the wreck.

This coming year is the Cowboys year. I truly believe everything is in place. Proper coaching, good schedule, and assuming draft and free agency goes well to fill most desperate needs. Because of this, I think we all agree we don't want to see a situation that threatens the regular season. If an agreement isn't in place by draft time, I'm for showing up in force at Radio City Hall and protesting. The power of the people is strong.
Shouldn't you protest outside the NFL league Headquarters? :D

In 2007, we blew a game against an inferior team...or should I say, Patrick Crayton blew it.

In 2009, we got crushed by a better team playing one of their best games all year and I saw most people acknowledging that. The hand wringing over that loss was nowhere near what we saw in 2007, and for good reason.

The 2007 Giants were an inferior team?

The 18-1 Patriots would beg to differ.

I wonder if the Players Union will try and convince the top picks not to go to New York and participate???

We shall see............

In 1996 we were a good football team. In 2007 we were a good football team. In 2009 we were a good football team.

It was described as we have to go back 16 years to it being our year. In other words we have not been good.

In other words you took what I said completely wrong. The Cowboys have had some good teams after 95 but they never won the SB with any of those teams.

They didn't even come close only winning two playoff games.

Being a teams year is winning the SB in my book and last year was the Packers year.

I doubt when the OP said this coming year is the Cowboys year he was simply referring to having a winning season and making the playoffs.

If so then his standards as well as yours are a lot lower than mine.

I'm not going to be content no matter how many winning seasons the Cowboys have or how many playoff games they win until it results in winning another Lombardi Trophy.

If your only criteria for a good team is Super Bowl wins then root for the winner every year. I refuse to be on a bandwagon and I refuse to have the game and all that is great about it flying right over my head while I stand flapping my arms demanding attention.

Enjoy the misery you feel you've earned.

Both 2007 and 2009 we had good teams with some weakness , especially in the OL and Secondary , In 2007 secondary was the weakest - our 3rd CB got picked so much for quick score, if that was avoided it could be a different game. The big OL got tired later in the game and couldn't pass block in the clutch. Of course in spite of all this if crayton held on to the 3rd down pass, it could have still worked out.

In 2009 , the big OL was exposed against the fast and relentless DL of vikings. They could neither run block or pass block. Also Garretts Offensive playcalling was not so good, missed FGs , you name it ... not to mention Sidney Rice and Farve bisecting our secondary.

So in essence , we're here in 2011, with more holes to fill in but still these two holes are there.

Maybe we could have him dress up as one of the village people and sing NFLPA instead of YMCA.

You can have a good team every year but it's not your year unless you win the SB. My criteria for being "your year" is winning the SB that's the point I'm making.

There's several good teams every season but only one can win it all and last season it was the Packers. It was their year!

I never said a team had to win the SB to be a good team but you somehow read that into my comment.

The Cowboys had a good team in 09 but for me every season that doesn't end with a championship is a failure if they had a good team.

The goal for every team entering each season is to win the SB and that's how it should be especially for a team like the Cowboys with their rich history.

I won't be looking for any moral victories next season because the Cowboys went 6-10 last season.

If you're the type of fan who's satisfied with just seeing the Cowboys have a good year even if they come up short every season then your standards for the team are a lot lower than mine.

My goal for the Cowboys every year is for them to win a championship and every year they don't that season is a disappointment.

I hope the players and coaches feel the same way or it's going to be a lot longer before we ever see another SB win from the Cowboys.

When you expect a lot that's when you achieve a lot. When Jerry bought the team he talked about winning championships and that's what the Cowboys did.

He brought in a coach who thought the same way. Jimmy was all about winning championships.

It's not like I don't enjoy the journey every season and the wins along the way but if the Cowboys aren't hoisting the Lombardi Trophy it's a disappointing season for me.

I've always been a person who reaches for the stars and I expect that from my team every season.

Yeah, I know. I already said as much. It has been diagnosed. I dismissed everything else you said as soon as you said it and won't read the rest of your reply beyond the part I quote above. It would be a waste of precious seconds to do so.

Again, enjoy your hard earned misery.

After you claimed my only criteria for a good team is a SB win you're doing me a favor dismissing everything else I said.

It saves me precious seconds having to correct you everytime you misinterpret a comment of mine.
