On paper pretty legit.

But:
1. Romo back etc we get it
2. Linehan (and Garrett?) calling plays ....
3. No rb depth
4. Injury prone rb
5. Game-Breakers outside of dez? Who gets nicked here and there.

We're kind of taking this approach that well be in shoot-outs and itll Be a wacky season and whatnot but when you put all of your eggs in one basket you can get ****ed.

I truly like what I'm hearing about the wrinkles and positions Linehan will be placing the players in.
Dez and Witten in the backfield? Dunbar split wide?

I expect a truly fun and explosive offense this year.
Hopefully they can get a lead and ground and pound the rest of the game keeping the D off the field.

It most likely will be their only chance- outside of Romo pulling a miracle or three out of his keister a season like he does.

What are we supposed to be worried about in this thread? Were these bullet points supposed to be actual things to lose sleep over? Having a hard time working up even a shrug about any of them.

I believe the offense is going to be VERY good -- in the top 5 range.

I think the offensive line will make the offense even better than last year.

The season hinges on Romo's back IMHO. If he can stay health I think the floor is 8-8. With the defense the ceiling might be 8-8, however, I'm hopeful the defense won't be terrible.

Yeah, this is trying to manufacture worry.

Can wonder what if all day long.

WR...I think Williams, Beasley, Harris and Street could get it done if something happened to Dez. I also would see us using TE and backs more if that happened.

RB...We have Murray, Dunbar, Randle and Williams....I think we are ok there.

Linehan has had great offenses...how is he a problem?

If they keep Ryan Williams they have great rb depth imo.

If Randle and Williams both play like they did last week tomorrow night. I think they both will make it hard to cut either one. Therefore, possibly no FB, and an extra TE for blocking.
I'm beginning to think we need to keep 4 RB's. Murray needs to show he can stay healthy, and Dunbar needs to show he's recovered from his injury in reall game action.

This seems the deepest we been in quite a while at RB.

No RB depth? Randle is reportedly having a very good camp. Dunbar we like so much we kept him out of the first preseason game. Murray was one of the best backs in the league last year.

i don't see how much more depth you need.

If Romo goes down the season is over. I don't think Weeden can score enough points to keep up with the bad defense. The offense should be fine but I've said that before and I still can't believe some of the plays they call. Time will tell if this year will be any different.

I have a concern still. That being where the offensive tackle position is headed and how good the free agent signed rookie, Darian Weems, projects out on the outside now.

We have Dez Bryant

Nuff said.

So overrated

Williams will have a higher per catch average, so there is your other game breaker besides Dez.

Beasley used properly will provide more big plays.

Dunbar can be the most explosive player on the team!

If this offense isn't top 10, time to get rid of the QB

Next ?

I'd say Romo's back is a legit concern, not-so-much everything else. With Randle finally running like he did in college the RB position should be fine.

There has been no wishy washy comments from Garrett about Linehan like there were about Callahan. It's clear that Linehan is calling the plays.

They have the best RB depth that I can remember since Walker and Dorsett were together.

They have all sorts of offensive weapons. Dunbar is probably to top game breaker after dez. They have packages with both Dunbar and Murray on the field together.

First off, nobody can score enough points to keep up with the defense. Secondly, Weeden has been looking a hell of a lot better than Romo.

But don't let the facts get in the way of the Tony hand wringing.

Maybe the exasperation has just cause.
I couldn't say. Football isn't my profession.
I'm excited to see what they do with a formation like that if it's in Linehans book o'plays...

The formation apparently has been observed so it'll probably happen at some point.

I like what is happening on offense. OL is looking very good, Williams opposite of Dez I think will have a big year and as for running back I expect Murray to get the majority of the snaps with Dunbar and Randle backing him up and given the OL they will work behind I think we are more than good at RB. Add to that Escobar is looking a lot better and bigger and stronger than last season. In the end it comes down to execution but I feel we have the players to be a very good offense.
