On paper pretty legit.

But:
1. Romo back etc we get it
2. Linehan (and Garrett?) calling plays ....
3. No rb depth
4. Injury prone rb
5. Game-Breakers outside of dez? Who gets nicked here and there.

We're kind of taking this approach that well be in shoot-outs and itll Be a wacky season and whatnot but when you put all of your eggs in one basket you can get ****ed.

Maybe you haven't noticed but we have 4 Rb's that look good right now and an abundance of WR's outside of Dez making plays. T Williams, Beasley, Street, Boyd, Byrd, Newsome all look good. Our real problem is we can't keep them all.

Romo is 100%. The surgery was "successful", there is no longer an injury.

I agree with your assessment we have some talent at the skill positions, just hope that Escobar is not seriously injured(shoulder) and that the OLine can continue to mesh as a unit.

That's why I want Witten to be targeted less. Need big plays more than ever.
Plays of 20+ yards as a percentage of total targets
(TE with 50+ catches, 2013)

1 Davis SF 19.0% (16 of 84)
2 Thomas DEN 14.4% (13 of 90)
3 Graham NO 13.4% (19 of 142)
4 Witten DAL 11.7% (13 of 111)
5 Bennett CHI 11.7% (11 of 94)
6 Olsen CAR 10.8% (12 of 111)
7 Cook STL 10.6% (9 of 85)
8 Clay MIA 9.8% (10 of 102)
9 Gates SD 9.6% (11 of 114)
10 Cameron CLE 9.3% (11 of 118)
11 Miller PIT 10.1% (8 of 79)
12 Fleener IND 8.0% (7 of 87)
13 Gonzalez ATL 4.1% (5 of 121)
14 Walker TEN 5.8% (5 of 86)
15 Wright TB 6.6% (5 of 76)

It's not necessarily about targeting Witten less, it's about getting Dez more good deep targets. That can be schemed to a degree, but it also depends on the emergence of a 3rd player to draw the defense's attention. Somebody who can consistently beat single coverage without being too much of a risk.

Guess you missed my post where
I referenced another time in
Romos career where teams didn't respect his arm strength. And it hampered our offense, to the point people were wondering about dez a little Bc he wasn't putting up numbers.

A few Years and a janky offseason Workout regimen later and it's a concern.

I find it pretty impressive that this offense is entirely home grown.
