I will have to wait until to Saturday to answer that because Mcnabb is ON in the playoffs and Romo is usually OFF. But if Romo can have a repeat performance and NO TURNOVERS and leads to the Cowboys to victory, then I will put Romo above Mcnabb.

As of 1/5/10, Mcnabb is better, hopefully that changes on 1/9/10

Romo has moved ahead of McFlabb this year.

Romo is the #1 in the NFC East, tied with Rodgers for best in NFC

NFC:
#1a: Romo
#1b: Rodgers
#2: Favre
#3: Brees
#4: Warner
#5: McNabb

How is McNabb better than Romo? And I'm a McNabb fan as much as that is possible him being an Smeagle.

The question was who is the better QB RIGHT NOW. Kornhole said Romo and gave all the stats. Romo is better than McNabb in all stats this year. Of course Wilbon says McFlabb and the only explanation he had was that in the past 7 games McFlabb is 6-1 whereas Romo is 5-2. What great analysis. Kornhole did say c'mon, Romo is better than every single statistical category and Wilbon went back to the past 7 games, totally ignoring the fact that McFlabb's only loss came at the hand of the Cowboys, who also shut them out.

Kornheiser said Romo, because he leads McNabb in every statisitcal category.

Wilbon said McNabb, because he's 6-1 over the past 7 games and Romo is 5-2. (Yes, really, that was his argument. No kidding. Seriously, stop laughing.)

On top of the fact that Wilbon absolutely despises the Boys, Mcnabb is also from Chicago..that probably had a little to do with it as well

I love the arbitrary selection of 7 games. Without looking, I'm going to guess that 7 games is the exact length of games that gives McNabb a better record than Romo.

I love how people love to say that football is a team game, and then ascribe things like won-loss record to a single player. Makes a ton of sense.

If you are saying this becasue McNabb has some postseason wins, ok.

But as far as who is the better player, Romo is by far the better passing QB at this stage of their careers. I also doubt you'd find many league personnel people who'd take McNabb over Romo today.

I saw Clarence Hill on the NFL Channel today with a reporter from Philly. The host asked them which QB would they rather have for the playoffs, Romo or McNabb. The Philly reporter said McNabb, then Clarence Hill said McNabb, too.

I was shocked. Maybe he missed the game on Saturday.

I just do not get all the hype about Mcnabb. Never have. He was a threat back in the day when he could run but the dude just throws too many balls in the dirt at wide open receivers for me to ever consider him a slightly better than average QB.

His team racked up some wins in his time, but his team also had the best defense in a weak NFC so they were usually playing with the lead.

He has some stats, but he has played his entire career in an offense designed for QBs to put up numbers.

It would also be interesting to see how many of his passing yards were RAC, particularly by guys like Westbrook and TO.

how in the world could anyone take romo over mcnabb if the eagles win saturday? Last week's game was meaningless, this week's game is what counts

:bang2: How was last week's game meaningless? Both teams had a lot to play for. Geez, where do some of you come up with this stuff?

I don't think he is better, but it can be conventional wisdom at this point due to his post season history. After all is said and done and both have their careers behind them, Romo is talented enough to have the better legacy. Not that I'm biased or anything. :)

I loved Kornheisers reaction. Like *** are you talking about?

Wilbon was dead serious. "Every one knows you judge a QB by the W/L of his last 7 games!"

OK then. Derek Anderson > Peyton Manning

If you extend McNabb and Romo's stretch one game further, doesn't that then include McNabb's other head-to-head loss to Romo?

Wilbon's a dweeb.

:hammer:

mcnabb has been overrated since day 1. yes, he's tough to bring down and used to be able to make plays with his feet -- but aikman was right on when he said the guy was too inaccurate a passer to be considered a great qb. and that's with all the checkdowns and screens that he throws to westbrook and the other running backs out of the backfield.

romo is a much better passer, has made at least as many magically elusive plays, and is 10 times more humble and team-oriented than mcnabb is.

2 years ago, the romo-or-mcnabbb question would have been interesting. now it's a joke.
