I saw Clarence Hill on the NFL Channel today with a reporter from Philly. The host asked them which QB would they rather have for the playoffs, Romo or McNabb. The Philly reporter said McNabb, then Clarence Hill said McNabb, too.

I was shocked. Maybe he missed the game on Saturday.

You wonder sometimes what motivations come into play when people say things. Things that make you go "huh."

McNabb may be the only QB ever who caused the other team to take a timeout to catch its breath. I'd rather not say the name of the other team.

Still, all things considered, I hate McNabb, and I'm glad he grew that ridiculous beard.

how in the world could anyone take romo over mcnabb if the eagles win saturday? Last week's game was meaningless, this week's game is what counts

Maybe they've been paying attention to the two QBs over the last three years.

I just do not get all the hype about Mcnabb. Never have. He was a threat back in the day when he could run but the dude just throws too many balls in the dirt at wide open receivers for me to ever consider him a slightly better than average QB.

His team racked up some wins in his time, but his team also had the best defense in a weak NFC so they were usually playing with the lead.

He has some stats, but he has played his entire career in an offense designed for QBs to put up numbers.

It would also be interesting to see how many of his passing yards were RAC, particularly by guys like Westbrook and TO.

I was never a big fan of McNabb's, but take a good look at his turnover numbers before calling him just slightly above average. He's been better than that on the whole of his career.

That said, he is overrated, and he's not even in a class with Tony Romo right now. It's not even an interesting question.

In fairness Romo has some work to do on Saturday night before we can say "it isn't an interesting question."

Tony has clearly been better so far. I fully expect him to again play top drawer in the rematch. But he'll have a heck of a lot of work in front of him.

No he doesn't. Tony Romo has been clutch in big games. He's played well in both his playoff appearances. He's clutch in the fourth quarter. He's clutch in the last two minutes of each half. He's playing really good football right now and at a level above the level McNabb's capable of playing at at this point in his career. He schooled McNabb on Sunday. Tony Romo doesn't have anything more to prove to anybody who's been paying attention. He just doesn't.

I see that the anointing oil is out.

Until Romo proves otherwise he's nothing, but a sunshine superman. I don't know why this is so difficult for Dallas fans to understand. The regular season is largely irrelevant for anything other than positioning to get into the playoffs. Nobody outside of us remembers Tony Romo winning X game against X team in the regular season for more than a season or two. What they do remember is Tony Romo mishandling the FG hold (which is kinda unfair since it was unrelated to him quarterbacking) and ultimately losing to the Seahawks or Romo's 13-3, Pro Bowl studded Cowboys losing to the Giants.

Donovan McNabb, regardless of whether he's won a championship or his play, is recognized as a quarterback who leads the Eagles deep into the playoffs on a regular basis and has them contending for a title.

On top of the fact that Wilbon absolutely despises the Boys, Mcnabb is also from Chicago..that probably had a little to do with it as well
i love the show and both guys on it

but ive noticed ever since we beat wilbon bears to open the season a few years ago he has been really hating on the boys

i remeber after that win he kept saying we didnt show any class and were trash talking and running our mouth all game.

he was really upset lol dude is still bitter

I annointed him three years ago. He's a great QB and has been some time. Any idiot can see that. Or almost any.

listening to Wilbon on Cowboys topics is a complete waste of time. You might want to skip the super bowl coverage on PTI ;)

You knew it would happen.

Once we went 3-2 after November, it's now "well they haven't won a playoff game in 13 years" despite none of the players on the roster right now being here in 1996.

Once we do that, it'll be "well they still haven't won a Super Bowl since 1995."

Once we do that, it'll be "well they still haven't won back-to-back Super Bowls since 1993 and 1994."

And finally, if we are able to accomplish that, it'll be "well, Romo held the Lombardi Trophy up with his throwing arm, real champions like Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger always hold it up with their non-throwing arm so they don't tear their rotator cuff in a freak trophy-raising accident."

Let's see...Clarence Hill and Wilbon would take McFlabb.

Faulk, Sapp, Deion, etc. all bash Romo and the Cowboys while defending T.O.

Dilfer and Mooch praise Romo and the Cowboys (which is deserved at this point).

Anybody notice differences in the groups and their opinions?

Tony Romo is the best Quarterback in the division right now.

As someone stated, if given a chance, I believe most Front Office decision makers would take Tony Romo over Donovan McNabb.

If you listen to Philadelphia Radio, many feel that Donovan McNabb is playing to keep his job.

I love the arbitrary selection of 7 games. Without looking, I'm going to guess that 7 games is the exact length of games that gives McNabb a better record than Romo.

I love how people love to say that football is a team game, and then ascribe things like won-loss record to a single player. Makes a ton of sense.

And, those last seven games are against only one playoff-bound team, Dallas, who beat them.

Yea, the #2 seed, bye week, and home playoff games are meaningless to the Eagles. They pissed it all away because they want to be the 6th seed and not play another home game until preseason 2010.

I also was unaware that Division Titles were meaningless games, who knew.

Wow, #2 seed and Division Title on the line and it was a meaningless game....Wow, its like some of you guys have never actually watched NFL games before.
