And if you don't think you got a functional offense that ranked #1 last year and in the top 10 since he's been QB, then I can't help you. You just have to learn. You are a Dak hater saying he can't beat zones...lol. You're reachin, man. You're reachin....lol. I'll tell you like I said to the others....go ahead and tell me the REAL reason you don't lke Dak? I'll listen. lol

Actually you can go back and look at my vote, as well as posting history. I've always pulled for Dak. Sorry, you're too stupid to see beyond beating up bad defenses and look at how unreliable this offense was after Denver and in the playoffs.

Nice baiting, though, victim much?

When most posters saw this schedule last spring, nobody thought the LA game was winnable, let alone with CR at QB. But lets look at the Rams in 2022., They are 2-3 and have had 5 different OL configurations in the first 5 games of the season. They are an offensive mess and not the same offense that won the super bowl. Yesterdays game was a perfect storm with our elite defensive pressure combining with there OL problems to blow up their offense accept for that one 75 yard TD to CC which was simply the best WR in the NFL making a great catch on a perfectly thrown ball. It was a fluke play and they could do nothing on offense for 95% of the game.

As for our OL, we could not block Aaron Donald's pass rush which is why CR only had 16 throws. It must have killed Moore to run the ball 30 times. lol. But, the offense was stymied most of the game and needed a defensive TD and a spectacular 57 yard TD run from Pollard to win this game.

The Eagles don't have Donald, but they have a better overall DL. This is not the same defense Dak torched last year. That said, if Cooper Rush wins this game to start 5-0, how do you bench him? I know we will but...............

Thanks for your typical "we beat the Rams because their a bad team" excuse.

They won the superbowl for pete sake. What were the Cowboys supposed to do?

The Eagles also haven't beaten anyone as well. Why aren't you talking the Eagles?

Hyperbole is the best defense for ignorance. Keep it up; it suits you, and your lack of reading comprehension.

Oh I know. A lot of posters on this site get away with saying crap and don’t have to worry about the search function.

Oh come on... Dak went down and nobody thought Rush was a viable backup. With a first place schedule and the starting QB injured for several weeks and seeing years of the team not step up when needed it was fair to predicted a series of losses or a struggling season.

Very few expected what happened. The defense playing good was expected, but this good? Rush doing enough to win in this solid streak? Not expected but awesome.

The issue that I’m having is no one is taking accountability…..it’s a lot of arrogant “I know football” fans that just spew off the dome. No one expected it but a lot of us told you guys to chill and at least them fail before you pronounce it. Cluttered the whole board with pessimistic crap.

He’s not the answer without this type of defense.

But if Prescott can make the playoffs without a good defense , I can’t wait to see what he can do with a great defense.

I’d argue we already have a playoff caliber QB. And this defense should carry him deeper . If not then we move on.

In 2018, Prescott had the 7th ranked defense. So, you can't hang his playoff failures on the defense. You can't hang it on the offensive talent around him. It is him. He is simply not good enough. And it might be that Rush is not good enough either, but at least he hasn't proven it yet.

If Cowboy fans can’t get excited about finally having a Doomsday caliber defense then I can’t help them.

I’ve been a major critic for over two decades but it appears the Golden God in Parsons has finally arrived. And I think enough to carry any Bus driver including Prescott.

We might have a Doomsday defense, but we certainly don't have Roger Staubach.

Since we’ve basically been crap for 25 years, I would expect this to excite you LOL

I'm hopeful but not excited. I don't think Prescott can deliver in January b/c I've seen it. Maybe Rush can't either, but at least I haven't seen it yet.

Good win Sunday.

But the concern is Parsons. He's the lynchpin of the defense, he needs to be at or near 100%.

And the Rams won last year largely because they signed Whitworth to solidify their o-line. Well, he's retired, now you see that one player can make a huge difference.

When the Eagles are the sole unbeaten team, you know it's a weird year. The SB is anybody's for the taking. Including Dallas. Not that they are a favorite, the past playoff failures alone won't let them be that. And nearly every year the healthiest teams are the ones that get to the SB/win the SB. Way early in the season, any team can lose several good players to injury and drop out of contention.

So yeah, I'm pumping the brakes. Been bitterly disappointed far too many times in the last 25 years when supposedly great, stacked and prime Cowboys teams cratered in the playoffs. Now if just getting to the playoffs, beating everyone else in the division or having the best regular season record, so that you get to see lots of wins floats your boat, have at it. Keep your foot to the floor.

But I'm tired of the emotional ups and downs, I'll stay on an even keel at most until the Cowboys prove they can "get 'er done". I've earned that right since 1968...

nope.
most on here thought we'd lose.
rams were favored.
we won.
now the excuses.
its my favorite part of mondays after a win.
we didn't beat the rams because they're bad.
we beat them because we're good.
They said this after we beat the Giants but look at how they beat Aaron Rodgers and Packers

This defense is legit no matter who they play. Big thanks to cooper rush, the man has done an outstanding job. That said, Dak is still the better QB.

"If" Dallas can find a little more juice on offense......Look Out!

The Cowboys would be no better than 1-4 and possibly 0-5 if it wasn’t for the defense. Cooper Rush has been solid but far from outstanding. We have one of the worst offenses we’ve had in years. We currently rank 26th. We only reached the red zone twice yesterday and had only 10 first downs which is the fewest the Cowboys have had since 1970 in which they won a game. If it wasn’t for our running game and tremendous defensive performance yesterday no way would we have won. We’re going to have an incredibly tough time beating Philly on Sunday night if we can’t generate some offense and points and have to rely on our defense to hold them to no more than one TD. We’re hanging in by a thread with Cooper Rush.

I get your point although I disagree with it. You have every right to curb your enthusiasm before the the Cowboys play the Eagles. I couldn't be more ecstatic that Cooper Rush and the defense have put together a 4 game win streak. Even if we get blown out by the Eagles it won't make a difference to me. Most NFL analysts have picked the Eagles as the best team in the league right now so losing to the best team in the league won't take away my excitement over the current play and potential of this team.

It's not how you start but how you finish. When we get Dak Prescott back (hopefully he's learned a thing or two from Rush) and we get back Jason Peters, Damone Clark, James Washington, Tyron Smith, and a fully healthy Dalton Schultz, I think we destroy the Eagles at home.

Oh by the way, you are wrong about why the Cowboys ran the ball in the 2nd half. We ran the ball because we were up by 2 scores and the run game was working so we just bled the clock as much as we could knowing that their offense wasn't going to do much.
