Austin and Beasley were the only players that returned Punts in 2018.

Beasley is obvious gone.

With Austin's injury history, they have to find a second Punt Returner.

I wonder if they signed Davis for that role.

Nah I don’t agree Switzer has higher potential. Austin is a better player if both are healthy..you may be right on the availability part though.

Lenoir or Brown were not on the active roster week one.

Only 5 receivers...Cole, Williams, Hurns, Gallup and Austin. The team valued the experience of the first 3, Gallup was a 3rd round pick and they thought Austin was a more dynamic player. No reason to believe Switzer would’ve made the team over those guys.

Regardless..the team was wrong but you can see what they were thinking.
I didn't think I said that Switzer would have made the roster over Austin but that being said, yes Switzer has more potential than Austin. Switzer just hasn't been given a real chance yet but his hands are by far better than Austin as is his route running. Not only that but Switzer plays his best in the clutch.

All that being said Austin is here and Switzer isn't so I'm cheering for Austin to have a great year and stay healthy. Switzer is with Pittsburgh and I could care less about that team.

I'm for a combination of Pollard and Cobb...Austin if healthy.

IMO, the Cowboys in recent years like to have multiple possibilities for each position/role more than targeting 1 specific player for a specific role.

That's how it should be but they didn't always that this approach.

I would prefer more than one player for those roles.
