Purdy is still a 7th round Rookie

The problem is you arent playing a 7th round rookie. Your playing everyone else too. That oline is so good that he gets all do to throw and all he has to do is dump the ball off to the best playmakers in the NFL in Deebo and McCaffrey or his TE. They do the rest. He is also mobile and will pick up few first downs getting out of trouble.

And once they get a nice lead on you, then they get more aggressive with him when you get desperate.

This defense is like the 85 Bears defense. We will be behind 10-0 before we know it.

Their secondary isn't that great. Probably their biggest weakness. (20th ranked). Mahomes carved it up with ease. If the O-line plays well and Dak does what he needs to, we can score some points. If the Cowboys defense is clicking, it will be the best defense the 49ers have played since the Commanders. The Commanders were having major Offensive problems so they had no shot. I am not real optimistic either but I am not sure we'll get blown out as long as we don't turn the ball over. All bets are off if Dak throws a pick 6 or something. That can't happen in this game.

He has been playing great, no doubt, but the pressure is going to start getting heavier and heavier. Especially with how everybody is continually stroking Purdy and the offense. For a rookie QB, who only has a handful of starts under his belt, I'm sure eventually some of that magic is going to wear off. With that said, the Dallas defense is going to need to show up and be opportunistic.

Best defenses they faced. Seattle, not bad but not great, Rams, shell of themselves, KC, not all that great either, Saints possibly, Dolphins could be good at times, Washington possibly.
Saints held them to 13. On The Break today, they went over how SF tries to force defenses into the looks they want, and most of the time defenses comply trying to defend. They were was saying how the Saints wouldn't do it and just kept in their base defense....and it worked well for them

Niners Defense is not like 85 Bears. They have been vulnerable. Especially in the last month. Cowboys will have opportunities to score. Especially if Dak gets out of pocket extends plays, series and finds open playmakers down field.
The Cowboys OL is going to “big boy” the 9ers in this game with our rookie OT.

"If the Oline plays well"? AGainst probably the #1 defense and front 7? I wouldnt count on it. They will more than likely shut down the run and force third and long and tee off. Thats what they do.

"If the Cowboys defense is clicking"? Again, these assumptions or gestures are not likely. Our run defense is our weakness and its what they do well.

yeah i'm not sure seattle has the speedrushers we do. moving around the pocket may be to our benefit honestly as things move quickly and improvisation leads to mistakes
They don't but they have some pretty good inside guy who got pressure up the middle. The problem was when Purdy left the pocket no one could catch him. I think Micah can catch him easily. But we still need the offense to play well Sunday.

Definitely not arguing, I can see it like that as well.

Lance hasn’t looked great, but he’s only had four career starts. I’m only basing his play off highlights and his stats. I’m sure the 49ers are regretting everything they gave up to draft him. He hasn’t had enough opportunities to call him a bust just yet. However, there were many who thought the 49ers reached when they drafted him.
I agree Lance has not shown the confidence, playmaking ability, poise etc etc. That said he played one game this year. 9ers bailed themselves out of

Cool beans dude!

I do not care how well he has played or anything else. You’re playing a 7th round rookie QB in the playoffs and we have to figure out how to make him unravel.

The key is going to be putting up points and getting them out of their run/pass balance. Make them more predictable.

Parsons has lived in QBs heads all season and I just can’t see our pass rush not making Purdy completely unravel at some point.

The key to this game is jumping out on them offensively and forcing Purdy to carry that offense. He will start to unravel and throw picks. It has to happen.
The difference between them and other run heavy teams is that these guys have home run hitters at every position and have a great defense. so if they fall behind by a couple of scores they don’t panic but keep running trusting they can get back into it

So we will have to get up on them a lot and be able to chew up clock by running and no TOs to make them panic

That’s asking a lot

.....And the 49ers still have McCafferty and Samuels, not to mention the #1 defense in both points and yardage allowed.

technically, there are no more rookies. They all have a year's experience for regular season games whether that includes starting, playing, or sitting.

And Brady was a 6th rd pick and Romo was undrafted; as was Warner
MEANWHILE do you need reminding of all the First Rd bust QBs like Ryan Leaf, Jumongus, etc?
Draft status means bupkis

I disagree, its not as flawed and "gamble move" as hockey is. Purdy would be **** if he had the panthers or the titans even infront of him. hes a joke, 49ers will either be bumped off by the cowboys or eagles/GMEN
