I sure wouldn't blame the fat coach or the young genius. You give these losers books and they will not read them.

The loser team players are the blame. They don't listen to the coaches so why blame the coaches? sheesh.

Next excuse.
Right on, brother!!

sad isn't it? These guys think the coach needs to be on the field holding these guys' hands who have played this game since they were children.
Don't blame the players, they're just dumb and don't know what their job is on the field. No wonder these guys don't know the rules and where to line up. That's the coach's fault.

yeah, like that idiot Jerry is calling down to the sidelines telling the fat guy what to run. Totally ridiculous.
we should never blame these overpriced children for not doing their job. smh, we need more coaches to hold these borderline special needs kids' hands on their job.

That ridiculous.....some people have no clue what happens in a locker room or on the field
You seem to, so why aren't they stepping up?

They are paid to do a job up to the best of their ability. So, either they do not want to or their abilities have been overestimated. I think it is a lot more the latter and too many sell themselves on this "talent level" on this team.

The media spins that talent BS to give themselves a reason to keep discussing this team in overdrive.

Other than Martin, where is that talent on the OL? How about the WRs? Don't even know if the #1 is anything more than a nice #2.

There hasn't been accountability or discipline on any Cowboy team probably since Parcels left
And even he struggles with the penalties because the old way od dealing with that, like they did with Williams last season, left when Parcells was coaching.

The players started to become the dog instead of the tail and I think that's what led him and Johson to retire. The old ways were no longer the way.

In order to effectively meter out discipline, there must be depth or a coach can hurt his team.

hopefully but the old man is stubborn and has proximity bias to people he picked and have been around him a while.

Exactly, and Moore would have to completely lose the locker room and have morale extremely low before Jerry realizes that he's useless.

The word “talent” is thrown around to create contrast, part of a good foundation for passionate debate—clickbait. IMHO:

OL: we have a potential future pro bowler at LT, a declining former pro bowler in Peters, and a current pro bowler in Martin. The rest are JAGS.

QB: our QB1 (9-14) is injured, the backups? A journeyman JAG and a young JAG with slight potential.

RB: a declining pro bowler and slightly above average younger guy, both underused.

WR: a decent #2 masquerading as a #1, and a collection of JAGs and UDFAs

TE: a decent veteran possession guy and a Rookie with potential.

DL: An above average vet and a promising rookie at DE, JAGs at DT.

LB: A young pro bowler, an old probowler, a young injured guy with potential

DB: A young stud, two decent vets, and a few JAGs.

Overall, above average roster talentwise, but lessened by a culture of entitlement. Add a puppet at HC and an OC that can’t (or won’t) adapt, and your team is going nowhere.

I’m not here to defend Dak. He was just flat awful Sun night and deserves a ton of criticism. Kellen Moore? Looked like a middle school coach in his first game. The WRs looked like guys that couldn’t get any separation. Cedee Lamb had 2 receptions on 11 targets. Terrance Steele couldn’t remember a snap count. The defense gave up 6 yards per rush. And on and on…

Those players looked as unprepared as they were in January vs the niners. That has to be on Mike McCarthy. When a team looks completely out of sync and unprepared, look first at the head coach and his assistants. Tampa Bay players said after the game that the Cowboys offensive scheme is easy to defend.

Lots of blame to go around. The players and coaches stunk it up and deserve their fair share of responsibility.

But folks…the blame for the lousy pitiful performance and pathetic state of this entire team we saw Sunday lays firmly at the feet of Jerry and his giggly sidekick son. The horrific smell coming out of AT&T originated from those two.

And what makes me a lot angrier than the players’ and coaches’ sorry performance is the continuing lousy performance of the guys who have THE most power in this organization. And unless I missed it, have taken ZERO responsibility for their failures.

Hearing SJ throw Cedee Lamb under the bus angers me not because Lamb didn’t deserve criticism. It was not hearing the Jones boys take any responsibility for their failure to once again put together a strong roster.

Get mad at Dak, and Cedee and Steele and McCarthy and Kellen if you choose. They deserve it. But get madder at the clowns who never take any personal responsibility for their failures and mistakes. That’s where the lions share of the blame belongs. They want all the credit and zero blame.

Need to add Philbin to this list of culprits.

Mike McCarthy is first and foremost an offensive minded coach. Why would you hire him and then neuter him by not having any input in the offense, you know that thing he is best known for?
MM kept KM as a OC (not Jerry as some keep saying) because he doesn’t want to be exposed as a fraud again and knew he would need a scapegoat at some point down the road. Jerry bought the BS barn study watched every play loves him some Dak and to Jerry the SB win was all he needed to sell the pick after the last 10 year joke . It’s been one disaster after another since the MM hire if you want to blame someone blame the lowest IQ coach a future HOF called him, then blame Jerry for hiring his sorry a**.

One of your best, if not the best posts. Not rosy colored nor homer skewed. Actual truth.. Its not that hard to tell the truth on what actually is vice how you want it to be.

Reality is what it is.
