Being a Jets fan has to be hard. No playoff appearances since 2010. No real hope in sight until last year when they had a really good defense and went all in for the next 2 years to get Rodgers. And brought in his BFF's and Dalvin Cook. Only to have Rodgers last 4 plays. And back to a QB none of his teammates even like to begin with. And who isn't that good.
Even with forcing 4 turnovers, they needed overtime to win. Defense is really good but their OL is weak and can easily be had. Wilson isn't a good QB and his teammates hate him.Jets have everything, except a QB. That said, they will play well Sunday and by 0 means will this game be an easy win. We will have 2 earn it. Micah will make sure the guys understand this Im sure.
I don't believe in trap games in the NFL. These are all professionals the best at their profession. Every team has talent and speed. And the margin of error in the NFL is the lowest of any sport out there. Every win is necessary in this sport when there are only 17 of these games. And divisions are usually decided in the final week. No way Dallas gets complacent after one game. Especially knowing SF and Philly are going to be good and it will be a dogfight all year with Philly for the East. McCarthy and Quinn and our veteran leaders aren't letting us have a trap game mentality. Too early for thattrap game 101. Text book.
On the flip side...The Jets have to travel on short rest having played a hard emotional game against Buffalo. In other words, they might have blown their load...so...with their Oline and Zach Wilson, they are also certainly beatable. If the Cowboys take them lightly and let them run all over, then it will be closer than we'd like. The only plan the Cowboys should have is to MAKE Zach Wilson beat them. The Jets will play inspired ball again Sunday. We better match. The Giants game is over.
I am still recovering from Achilles related surgery/repair. Since April. I can tell ya, its been hard. I still have a long way back. I had heel spurs removed which involved my Achilles. I have some idea what he has to do.Rodgers Always Got Up With a Apparent Foot/Ankle Injury As He Played With Pain.
Not This Time..I Told My Wife Immediately It's a Achilles Related Injury..
in theory, I agree. But the human element makes it such.I don't believe in trap games in the NFL. These are all professionals the best at their profession. Every team has talent and speed. Its about TCB.Even with forcing 4 turnovers, they needed overtime to win. Defense is really good but their OL is weak and can easily be had. Wilson isn't a good QB and his teammates hate him.
If we protect the ball and force Wilson to beat us, we can win. But I am fearful of their DL vs our OL. We need to establish the run.
Hopefully we don't get a repeat of 2019 when Sam Darnold looked like Tom Brady. But our defense is much better than that terrible defense.
Yep. They needed 4 turnovers and short fields to even win in OT by the special teams. If we turn it over like that, we can easily lose as well. Protect the ball and make Wilson beat you. They have weapons, sure. But they were hoping Rodgers was going to be the one to take advantage. Wilson is a checkdown charlie. Jets speed can't be utilized as good with him. And their OL is very suspect. On the flip side...The Jets have to travel on short rest having played a hard emotional game against Buffalo. I hear you. If Dallas gets into trap game mentality in week 2, well we have serious issues. I feel our offense will be ready to go in normal conditions and not a downpour. And our defense will want to prove week 1 wasn't some fluke.in theory, I agree. But the human element makes it such.
