If Rodgers decides to call it a career, and I think that's likely, he'd probably inform the Jets FO and allow them to designate him a post June 1st Cut. He can then at least allow the Jets to reduce the cap hit later and he can just retire after that. It's been done before.

Either way they have $66 million of dead cap. Whether they take the entire amount in 2024 or split it between 2024 and 2025. You can get a lot of players for that amount of CAP space.

Yep. They needed 4 turnovers and short fields to even win in OT by the special teams. If we turn it over like that, we can easily lose as well. Protect the ball and make Wilson beat you. They have weapons, sure. But they were hoping Rodgers was going to be the one to take advantage. Wilson is a checkdown charlie. Jets speed can't be utilized as good with him. And their OL is very suspect.

The Good News about McCarthy is that he will keep Prescott in check, and allow the defense to set up the win. Sure, Prescott will be asked to be a good QB, but he won't be asked to force the issue, like he was asked to do under Moore. McCarthy understands situational football better than Moore. Moore will pile up the stats, but doesn't know how to rein it in when the circumstances call for it. This doesn't mean the Cowboys will be dink and dunk. It just means that risks will be more calculated.
