I really like the Moore and showers signing to the practice squad. Realistically neither will ever throw a pass in a regular season game with the Cowboys. Although, both appear like smart gambles.
Showers has the chance this year to prove he deserves a shot to battle for the third qb next camp. Him being willing to play other positions is another feather in his camp. The jets had a qb named Lucas several years ago who sort of stuck around that way. Showers needs to live at the the training complex this year. He may not get noticed much but take advantage of this year.
I would guess Moore would need to proove he can be a number two qb. He has been in the league for a few years. He is sort of similar to colt McCoy IMO. A guy who lacks starters skills but can not make a lot of mistakes when he is given the opportunity
