QB round 1, how would you react

Just curious on overall general fan reaction if the Cowboys were to do the unthinkable, by most fan standards, and actually draft a QB with the first pick.

1 Josh Rosen
2 Sam Darnold
3 Josh Allen
4 Lamar Jackson
5 Baker Mayfield

I'm not posting this concept with any actual personal agenda, I would rather go DL or OL, but that is not the premise of this post.

19 ... what do you do?

No way to Allen, Jackson.

If any of the other 3 falls to 19 I wouldn't be opposed to picking them IF the FO has any doubts about Dak. Heck if Rosen or Darnold falls to 19 I would just pick them. Let them compete with Dak over next 1-2 years and trade the other later.

I think Jackson and Mayfield would be the only two available to us...if that.

I have no wish for Jackson what so ever and Mayfield's attitude scares me into thinking he is a gunslinger who will be too full of himself to take any kind of decent coaching.

I would also say...IF the front office believes one of those two is a Franchise QB and do not believe that Dak is a franchise QB.

They need to make that move.

I personally think of the two Mayfield might be one but it would imagine he would be tailor made of SP in Nola and not Garrett in Dallas.

I would be upset because it would be a wasted pick. Dak is our future at QB. If we had a swing tackle this year people wouldn't have been posting these incredibly stupid threads.

It would completely floor me.

It would indicate that someone interested in honest competition and winning football games had taken over the franchise.

And before this turns into an OMGMUSTDEFENDDAK thread, if this did by some miracle happen, it would be in the franchise's best interest. If he is good enough, he will win the job.
True, but at #19 QB isn't going to be the best player on the board, not by a long shot. It would be a reach in the name of competition rather than finding a LG, LB, DB, DT, or DE that can start.....even a WR that can make an impact.

Would be fine with Mayfield. Other three I see going before we even have a chance of drafting.
Jackson I see as a day 2 QB.

No...if Dak sucks we'll be in a better position next year, with a new coaching staff.

If a Rosen, Darnold or Mayfield experienced a Rodgers-like drop, how would they not be the best player on the board?

I will always think this about ANY QB, keep serious competition behind him to make him better.

Romo went to the booth and Dak's performance dropped.

Coincidence?

Maybe but having only Wade Wilson to talk with played a part as well.

Id throw my coke can at my tv and cuss...but not so loud as to wake-up the kids.

Then Id buy his jersey and come on here saying....WE GOT THE BEST 1/2/3 QB GROUP IN THE WHOLE DAMN LEAGUE!!!!!

I would not draft a QB in this draft at all,Dak deserves another season to show us he can correct some of his problems.
