From seeing him play per preseason , and per Niners games, I dunno what the cowboys thought they could get outta him that QB guru Shanahan never could.

Worse, cowboys FO obviously thought stale bread McCarthy was the one to develop Lance ,as philly did with qb Jalen hurts.

Brother, I don't hate Lance. Just hate wasting a 4th round pick on him when several good RBs were available in the draft when that 4th round pick came up in the draft.

It was clear that while he is a total bust with regard to draft status, he wasn’t bad enough to not have some sort of an NFL job.

He is a lower end backup slash practice squadder.

Here you go, brother. You see, I do like Lance. Wish he had gone to either the Canadian Football League or the UFL to gain some starting experience which would definitely better help him get a chance to start in the NFL in a few years, instead of wasting away on another team's NFL bench.

I don't trust Herbert to stay healthy, so if Harbaugh puts time in to develop him you never know. Love or hate the guy, the trade was stupid as there was no chance to get him into game action. Even when Dak went down they had no interest in seeing what he had. I really think he's in the perfect situation and I will be curious to see if he can stick with them

That is what you wrote, correct? You literally said he doesn't get any time at all? In your world pre-season isn't considered any time? Asking for many others on here......You know the old saying right? A young player needs to get playing time in the pre-season.......if pre-season isn't considered time played, what say you? I did say they signed him to a contract with incentives for a reason, right? They will give him playing time to see if anything is there. Why on earth would they do this then?
