Quantify your optimism

1. Team moving in the right direction. 9
2. We have a chance to win the SB this year 5
3. We are building a team to win a SB within three years 7
4. Our team progress is sustainable 8
5. Coaching. 3
6. Organization (front office).1

We always win the Super Bowl in May and lose in December. Team stinks. Coaching stinks, Jerry sucks. Did I mention the Carrot Clapper stinks. Worst coach in the NFL. Has never adjusted to anything, ever! The anti-Belicheck.
To give Garrett some credit, he has adjusted to the Commanders.

Just one question: how can the team get a 9 for going in the right direction, but the guys setting the direction get a 1?

Edit: and it's sustainable? How is this happening then?

Hey, I'm just very much optimistic about this team. I can definitely see us getting to the SB within the next 3 years. The hiring of Richards was a brilliant move, and I think he can bring us the Legion of Doom.

Fur lad, I cannot stay miffed and peeved with you. You are a true fan. Ever optimistic!:)
And, getting to the Super Bowl in the next 3 years is certainly possible.
Stay gold, lad.
You remain a fave poster, Tokyo game lad!

Good post! It quantities our feelings lad, not just a way to say, in our collective hick voice, "we is gonna go all the way!"

As to No. 2 ... Dream on. We have no chance of sniffing ther Super Bowl unless 6 to 8 other teams disband or disappear into the Goodell gulag. Jerry will give us these expectations, but he has to (for 22 years, now) because it is his job to make money.

This team has more proven talent than the 92 squad that won the SB (probably a year earlier than expected). The Eagles won it out of the blue last year. This year could conceivably be our year.

If we make it into the playoffs, we are built to win a SB. It's all about who we play though, we match up better against some teams.

I trust that your first sentence was sincere. But I totally disagree.
The 1992 squad was mean, hungry, confident and coached by a firebreather coach.
In me umble opin, no comparison. It could be our year, but 6 or 8 other teams are in the way. 2016 was our big opportunity. This year is not necessarily rebuilding but it is definitely working with an untested squad, and, blimey! the receiving corps is a huge question mark.

If Jerry and company were "finally getting it" the Cowboys would have a new non Jones-related General Manager.

LMAO, are you really that miserable and down on the team?

While that is a possibility, I would not compare anything about that 92 team to this one except the OL. That 92 D was #1 and the youngest one in the league. And that coaching staff was several heads and shoulders above this one,

:lmao2: Jerk but so funny

What interference? Please state some examples of this constant sabotage. I honestly can't think of anything in the last couple of years at least.

Signing Greg Hardy

Announcing that Zeke Elliott would not be suspended in 2017, implying he had control over Goodell's decisions, thus forcing Goodell to prove he didn't.

Any media interview as the perceived spokesman for the team, thus undermining Jason's authority and effectiveness.

because it's taken them 20 years to go in a positive direction.

About... 5 Energon Cubes worth of optimism.

Corso--let me ask you this...what percentage would you give the cowboys as everything is right now..for winning NFC east?...50%? higher lower?

I don't know... I believe it's impossible to know right now. So many moving parts and what is the injury situation(s) going to be as they traverse through camp, pre-season and the season itself?
Let's just say that I'm not putting money on them.
