Hmm...let's see...

Priest Holmes profile was so "Bad" that he wasn't even drafted.

He went to be an NFL offensive player of the year. 4.6 ypc average his entire career. 3x All Pro, 3x Pro Bowl and went for 1500+ yards 3x in his career.

I'll just have to wait and see Blutarski carry the rock before I can judge the pick.....fingers crossed though

I think he can have a Tony Pollard type impact in a shared backfield.

He has some Jahmyr Gibbs to his game for sure. They are the same exact size by the way. The Lions have an explosive offense and they have a great RB combo with Gibbs and Montgomery. We need our Montgomery or early career Ezekiel Elliott.

I know nothing about the guy but at worst he seems as if he could be a third down back type (which they haven’t had since Dunbar).

Probably not a ‘bell cow’ but should be some sort of a weapon if used properly.

I’m sure there’s enough Longhorn die hards around here to give an accurate assessment.

It's not that he can't be a RB1. I don't want him to be. I would prefer were split time in a thunder and lightning scenario. I love the way the Lions were using Montgomery as a battering ram and Gibbs as a slasher. Saves Gibbs over the long haul and Montgomery was effective too.

Plus, I think Blue will be better receiving out of the backfield than Pollard was.

Height and weight: Height 5′ 9″, Weight 203 lbs

Gibbs was shorter and 10lbs heavier. Not really "exact same"

I think we use 3 backs and do a true RB by committee. As the season goes on they may settle into 2 guys

I really like the pick, but highlight videos mean very little.
These videos can be useful if you look at them objectively. They show ability and potential, you can see how they react to the particular play, did he act like it no big deal and that's what he expects from himself, or was he more in disbelief....like, did I really do that? Do teammates seem happy for him or not, that can show how he's looked at in the locker room.....etc.....not as good as game film, but you cam definitely learn some thing aboit a player.

Haven't seen that movie in years.

The true quelch will be NFL-level competition. I hope he has people in his ear letting him know he's gotta step it up a few notches to find success.
