When exactly was Lacewell "retired?"

Did Ireland have 'control' as Head Scout in the Ware/Spears draft? Or was Lacewell involved?

I know this past draft and the year before were Ireland's....but the Ware/Spears????

Yes, the Ware/Spears draft was Ireland's first & Cowboys received a grade of A from all analysts--except for (I believe ?) Gooselin of course.
